Dois personagens travam um embate, a partir de suas trágicas vidas, em que não ceder do desejo é vital para a sustentação de seu ser. (AU)

We start from the film: Times of peace, to articulate and interrogate the concepts of alterity and sublimation, as discussed in the Jacques Lacan’s seminar The ethics of psychoanalysis. Two characters face a confrontation, from their tragic lives, in which not yielding to desire is vital to the sustaining of their being. (AU)

O trabalho se propõe a interrogar o discurso sobre o mal-estar e a violência na educação. Apoia-se na hipótese de que a veiculação de informações catastróficas incrementam o mal-estar e impedem o trabalho elaborativo de simbolização do mal. A promoção do horror é então, em si mesma, produtora do traumático. (AU)

The study aims to examine the discourse about discomfort and violence in education. It is based on the assumption that the placement of catastrophic information adds to the discomfort and prevents the working through of evil symbolization. So, the promotion of horror produces the traumatic in itself. (AU)
