RESUMO
Immunochemistry was used to measure the concentrations of immunoglobulins and some individual proteins in the CSF of patients with lateral amyotrophic sclerosis. The data obtained did not show any well-defined deviations from the reference intervals of the study parameters. It was impossible either to catch any changes during routine examination of the CSF. No characteristic features were revealed depending on the patients' clinical status. The study parameters do not provide anything definite for the pathogenesis and diagnosis of lateral amyotrophic sclerosis. The assessment of the results indicates that immunologically, the disease is more distant from the other demyelinating diseases.
