RESUMO

Organophosphorus magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (OMMIPs) with high adsorption capacities (13.5-83.8 mg g-1) and good applicability were developed for efficient extraction and pre-concentration of multiple organophosphorus pesticides (OPPs) from foodstuffs. The OMMIP-based sample pretreatment coupled with low-temperature plasma ambient ionization mass spectrometry achieved rapid screening for 90 kinds of pesticides at default maximum residue limits of National Standard (GB 2763-2021) in nine types of agro-products. The OMMIP-based liquid chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectroscopy assay demonstrated rapid magneto-actuated isolation, efficient removal of matrix interference, and reduced signal suppression, resulting in a short detection time (30 min), compliant recoveries (60.1-127.5%), low detection limits (0.0001-0.073 µg g-1), and simultaneous quantification of multi-pesticides. The yolk-shell-structured OMMIPs (Fe3O4@mTiO2@MIPs) demonstrated additional benefits of excellent ultraviolet light-driven catalytic degradation activity toward OPPs, making them eco-friendly for self-cleaning regeneration and reducing laboratory pesticide discharge. This work highlights the potential of OMMIPs for high-throughput and in situ pesticide monitoring in modern large-scale agricultural markets.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: We investigated the sex-specific differences in ossification patterns of the first two cervical vertebrae in Chinese children. METHODS: A retrospective computed tomography (CT) study was performed between June 2016 and December 2020. Patients younger than 16 years with cervical CT images acquired ≤ 1.5 mm slice thickness were included. All eligible patients were stratified into 2 sex groups and 16 age groups based on 1-year intervals. The ossification status of each synchondrosis and ossification variants were evaluated. RESULTS: A total of 910 subjects (518 males and 392 females) were included in the study. For the C1 vertebra, the neurocentral synchondroses closed at a median age of 8 years in males and 6.3 years in females, and the posterior synchondrosis fused at 5.4 years in males and at 4.4 years in females. Multifocal anterior arch ossification centers were present in 74 of 411 (18%) subjects, whereas posterior arch variants were observed in 18 of 258 (7%) subjects. For the C2 vertebra, the sequence of complete fusion was as follows: posterior synchondrosis, neurocentral synchondroses, and dentoneural synchondrosis. Uniquely, a fusion line was observed in the dentocentral synchondrosis through adolescence. Anterior arch variants of the C2 vertebra occurred in 17 of 248 (6.9%) subjects. There was no significant difference between the sexes in ossification variants. CONCLUSIONS: All synchondroses of the first two cervical vertebrae fuse slightly earlier in females. The sequence of fusion follows a posterior-to-anterior and caudal-to-cephalad pattern in both sexes. Congenital variants are not rare and should not be confused with trauma.

RESUMO

Cysteine-rich angiogenic inducer 61(Cyr61/CCN1)is an extracellular matrix-associated signaling protein consisting of 381 amino-acid residues ,which has the regulatory function for a multitude of cellular responses. The pleiotropic effects of CCN 1 on the initiation and resolution of inflammation as well as oncogenesis and development of tumor were reported.According to the numerous data from experimental and clinical studies ,this article provides an overview on CCN1 and summarizes the latest understanding of the role of CCN 1 in pulmonary diseases.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To determine the best method for anterior internal fixation by comparing the biomechanical characteristics of various anterior fixation methods for vertically unstable sacroiliac dislocations. METHODS: Eight pelves with Tile C fracture with vertical loading were measured separately. Three- and two-hole anterior double plates were fixed at different angles and compared with sacroiliac screws. RESULTS: For two-hole anterior double plates, with increasing angle, axial stability increases while lateral stability decreases. For three-hole plates with an angle of 60°, axial stability is clearly better when placed horizontally, while lateral stability shows no obvious differences. CONCLUSION: For fixing sacroiliac dislocations, three-hole anterior double plates placed at about 60° produce excellent stability, which would be greatly increased if screws were added on the iliac side.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between the overlying tissues and recurrence of Dupuytren's contracture. METHODS: Forty-three patients (68 hands) who accepted surgical treatment were divided into two groups according to treatment methods: partial fasciectomy or dermofasciectomy and full-thickness skin graft. Diseased palmar fascia, subcutaneous tissues and skin obtained during surgery were then assessed by electron microscopy. RESULTS: All patients were followed up. None of the hands which accepted dermofasciectomy and full-thickness skin grafting recurred, while 46.4% of the hands which accepted partial fasciectomy recurred. Under electron microscopic observation, myofibroblasts were found in the skin and subcutaneous tissues. CONCLUSION: The overlying tissues play an important role in Dupuytren's contracture, which may be a reason for recurrence of this condition after surgical treatment.

RESUMO

The anaerobic ammonia oxidation (Anammox) granular sludge bed reactor was started up successfully with nitrifying granular sludge. During the operation, the nitrifying granular sludge was gradually converted into Anammox granular sludge with good settling property and high conversion activity. The Anammox reactor worked well with the shortest HRT of 2.43 h. Under the condition that HRT was 6.39 h and influent concentration of ammonia and nitrite was 10 mmol/L, the removal of ammonia and nitrite was 97.17% and 100.00%, respectively. Corresponding volumetric total nitrogen loading rate and volumetric total nitrogen conversion rate were 100.83 mmol/(L x d) and 98.95 mmol/(L x d). The performance of Anammox reactor was efficient and stable.

RESUMO

The anaerobic ammonia oxidation(Anammox) bioreactor was successfully started up with the nitrifying activated sludge. After anaerobically operated for 105 d, the bioreactor reached a good performance with removal percentage of both ammonia and nitrite higher than 95% and volumetric total nitrogen removal as high as 149.55 mmol/( L.d). The soft padding made an important contribution to the high efficiency and stability because it held a large amount of biomass in the bioreactor.

RESUMO

The performance of internal-loop air-lift nitrifying bioreactor was good with strong tolerance to influent ammonia concentration (78.49 mmol/L), high volume converting rate (163.18 mmol/L.d) and obvious working stability (ammonia removal > 94.42%). During operation of internal-loop air-lift bioreactor, the nitrifying activated sludge was granulated. The nitrifying granular activated sludge began to appear on day 45. Its average diameter was 0.83 mm, settling velocity was 55.53 m/h and specific ammonia removal rate was 0.95 mmol (NH4(+)-N)/g (VS).d. The nitrifying granular activated sludge had the activity for anaerobic ammonia oxidation with ammonia oxidation rate of 0.23 mmol (NH4(+)-N)/g(VS).d and nitrite reduction rate of 0.24 mmol (NO2(-)-N)/g(VS).d.
