A proposal for the clinical classification of acute coma due to organic cerebral lesions.

The purpose of this paper is to propose a preliminary scheme which standardizes the terminology and the manner of classifying comatose states due to organic cerebral lesions. This attempt is based on recognition of the need to use a common language in order to facilitate the transmission of information in this field.

Radical resection and reconstruction in spheno-ethmoidal-orbital tumors. Report of 3 cases.

Three cases of radical exenteration of spheno-ethmoidal-orbital tumors followed by plastic reconstruction of the cranial basis are described. The technique utilized has recently been developed and described by Derôme and is particularly satisfactory for benign and slow-growing malignant tumors of this region. The indications, preparation and collaborations are described, as well as the advantages and drawbacks to the procedure.
