RESUMO

Objetivo: Analizar los estilos de vida y alimentación relacionados con el estado nutricional y el riesgo de DM2 y en mujeres estudiantes de dos universidades colombianas. Métodos: Estudio de tipo descriptivo, transversal, multidimensional y exploratorio, realizado en una muestra fue de 220 mujeres, estudiantes de nutrición y dietética (NyD) seleccionadas por muestreo aleatorio de proporciones. Se aplicó un cuestionario para identificar variables sociodemográficas, estilos de vida relacionados con alimentación y el riesgo DM2 según test FINDRISC; se determinó el IMC, perímetro de cintura (PC), porcentaje de grasa e índice de sustancia corporal activa (IAKS). Se realizó análisis bivariado, utilizando Statgraphics v.16, se aplicó la prueba chi2 con 95% de confianza y significancia estadística (p <0,05). Resultados: El sobrepeso y obesidad según IMC (21,4%) mostró significancia estadística con la frecuencia de consumo de bebidas azucaradas, productos de paquete, azúcares y dulces, comidas rápidas y bebidas alcohólicas; estas dos prácticas alimentarias se relacionaron con el riesgo cardiovascular muy alto por PC y con el porcentaje de grasa excesivo que además presentó significancia con el tiempo excesivo en pantallas; el IAKS se relacionó con la clasificación de la actividad física (AF). Según la prueba de FINDRISC, el 91% presentaron factores de riesgo de DM2; el 20,5% presentó riesgo medio y el 2,3% alto. Conclusiones: Los estilos de vida y alimentación se relacionaron con indicadores antropométricos: el peso corporal, la distribución de la grasa y la composición corporal; son factores de riesgo para el desarrollo de DM2 en mujeres jóvenes. Es necesario promover factores protectores para mantener un peso saludable.


Objective: To analyze the lifestyles and diet related to nutritional status and the risk of DM2 and in female students of two Colombian universities. Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional, multidimensional and exploratory study, carried out in a sample of 220 women, nutrition and dietetic (NaD) students selected by random medsampling of proportions.[1]. A questionnaire was applied to identify sociodemographic variables, lifestyles related to food and DM2 risk according to the FINDRISC test; BMI, waist circumference (WC), fat percentage, and active body substance index (IAKS) were determined. Bivariate analysis was performed using Statgraphics v.16, the chi2 test was applied with 95% confidence and statistical significance (p < 0.05). Results: Overweight and obesity according to BMI (21.4%) showed statistical significance with the frequency of consumption of sugary drinks, packaged products, sugars and sweets, fast foods and alcoholic beverages; These two eating practices were related to very high cardiovascular risk by waist circumference and excessive fat percentage, which also presented significance with excessive screen time; the IAKS was related to the classification of physical activity. According to the FINDRISC test, 91% had DM2 risk factors; 20.5% presented medium risk and 2.3% high. Conclusions: Lifestyle and diet were related to anthropometric indicators: body weight, fat distribution, and body composition; are risk factors for the development of DM2 in young women. It is necessary to promote protective factors to maintain a healthy weight.

Resumen: Objetivo: Identificar ámbitos de aplicación de consejería en salud de enfermería y sus limitaciones. Materiales y Métodos: Revisión integradora de literatura; la búsqueda de los estudios se realizó en las bases de datos: Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, ClinicalKey, OVID, CINAHL y Proquest. Se localizaron artículos publicados en el período del 2012 al 2021, en idiomas: español, inglés y portugués, que incluían en el título y/o resumen alguno de los siguientes descriptores: "Nursing health counseling", "Health promotion", "Patient centered care", "Nurse-Patient relationships", con el operador booleano "AND". Resultados: Once artículos cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y fueron analizados. Se identificaron hallazgos clave y se formularon categorías y temas a través de los estudios. En los resultados se presentan dos categorías a) estrategias para brindar consejería de salud en enfermería y b) limitaciones de la consejería de salud en enfermería. Conclusiones: Los ámbitos de aplicación de la consejería de salud en enfermería son amplios dentro de la atención primaria de salud, tanto para la promoción de la salud, como para el autocuidado de personas con diversas patologías; en cuanto a limitaciones es necesario contar con personal de enfermería capacitado.


Abstract: Objective: Identify the areas of application of nursing health counseling, and its limitations. Materials and Methods: Integrative literature review; the search of the studies was performed in the following databases: Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, ClinicalKey, OVID, CINAHL, and Proquest. Articles that were published in the period from 2012 to 2021 were located in the following languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese, which included in the title and/or abstract any of the following descriptors: "Nursing health counseling", "Health promotion", "Patient-Centered care", "Nurse-patient relationships", with the Boolean operator "AND". Results: Eleven articles met the inclusion criteria and were assessed. Key findings were identified and categorized into topics. In the results, two categories are shown: a) strategies to provide nursing health counseling and b) limitations of nursing health counseling. Conclusions: The application scope of nursing health counseling is broad within primary health care, both for the promotion of health and for the self-care of people with various pathologies; with respect to limitations, it is necessary to have trained nursing personnel.

OBJECTIVE: The authors aimed to evaluate the incidence of myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery (MINS), its relationship with perioperative variables, and its prognostic implications for 30-day mortality in high-risk thoracic surgery patients. DESIGN: Observational study including cardiovascular high-risk patients undergoing routine postoperative troponin monitoring during the first 2 postoperative days. MINS was diagnosed based on at least 1 troponin I determination ≥0.04 ng/mL with no evidence of a nonischemic etiology. SETTING: Tertiary university hospital. PARTICIPANTS: Adult patients with cardiac risk factors, defined as patients ≥65 years old or patients <65 years old with known cardiovascular pathology (history of cardiac, cerebral, or peripheral vascular pathology) who underwent elective thoracic surgery. MEASUREMENT AND MAIN RESULTS: Forty-eight patients (27.3%) (95% confidence interval [CI] 20.8%-34.5%) of 177 had diagnostic criteria for MINS. On univariate analysis, an association was found between MINS and smoking (odds ratio [OR] 2.17, 95% CI 1.26-3.76), lobectomy (OR 1.30, 95% CI 1.03-1.66), pneumonectomy (OR 6.72, 95% CI 1.35-33.9), use of vasoactive drugs (OR 1.94, 95% CI 1.03-3.65), and pericardial incision (OR 6.72, 95% CI 1.35-33.9). On multivariate logistic regression analysis, only smoker status and type of surgery were independent risk factors for MINS. No association was found between MINS and 30-day mortality. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the findings, the elevated incidence of MINS after thoracic surgery, the independent relationship with the extent of lung resection, and the fact that MINS was not associated with greater mortality suggest that nonischemic causes may contribute to troponin elevation after thoracic surgeries.

Introducción: La educación, en particular la universitaria, hace pertinente las modificaciones curriculares que analicen el trasfondo de los escenarios actuales, los que tensionan y conflictúan los modos tradicionales necesarios para estructurar y configurar la arquitectura curricular. Objetivo: Rediseñar procesos y estrategias de una estructuración curricular basada en competencias en la carrera de Enfermería de la Universidad Arturo Prat, Chile. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo-explicativo, con metodología cuantitativa-cualitativa. Como método teórico se utilizó análisis-síntesis, enfoque sistémico, inducción-deducción, y análisis documental y de contenido de literatura. El universo, estudiado en su conjunto, estuvo constituido por la totalidad de los docentes de la unidad académica. Resultados: Se obtuvo un proyecto curricular de pregrado, que incorporó políticas y lineamientos emanados del Consejo de Rectores de Universidades Chilenas; estrategias y patrones del modelo educativo universitario; y recomendaciones promovidas por la Asociación Chilena de Educación en Enfermería en formación profesional. La propuesta caracterizó un proceso reflexivo y crítico de los académicos participantes. El rediseño siguió los desafíos de la globalización universitaria, al abrir espacios educativo-innovadores, según Tunning, en formación por competencias genéricas. En esta innovación se abordaron 4 como sello institucional y 6 competencias específicas, los cuales tributaron al perfil de egreso del estudiante. Conclusiones: Se logró un nuevo plan de estudio secuenciado, integrado y propicio para formar profesionales de enfermería competentes, con alta calidad, el cual aportó las herramientas para brindar acciones de cuidados, con seguridad y pertinencia. Esta estrategia buscó configurar un nuevo modelo de universidad que, sin descuidar la solvencia cognoscitiva y la competencia profesional, puso énfasis, preferentemente, en la formación de sujetos reflexivos, responsables, críticos, innovadores y versátiles(AU)


Introduction: Education, particularly university education, validates the applicability of the curricular modifications that analyze the background of the current contexts, which stress and conflict with the traditional ways necessary to structure and configure the curricular architecture. Objective: To redesign processes and strategies within acompetence-based curricular structuring in the Nursing major of Arturo Prat University, Chile. Methods: Descriptive-explanatory study, with a quantitative-qualitative methodology. As a theoretical method, we used analysis-synthesis, systemic approach, induction-deduction, and documentary and content analysis of literature. The study population, studied as a whole, was made up of all the teachers in the academic unit. Results: An undergraduate curriculum project was obtained, which incorporated policies and guidelines derived from the Council of Rectors of Chilean universities, strategies and patterns of the university educational model, and recommendations promoted by the Chilean Association of Nursing Education regarding vocational training. The proposal characterized a reflexive and critical process of the participating academics. The redesign followed the challenges of university globalization, by opening educational-innovative spaces, according to Tunning, in training based in generic skills. In this innovation, we addressed four of them an institutional seal and six specific competences, which contributed to the student's working profile. Conclusions: A new sequenced, integrated and conducive study plan was achieved to train competent nursing professionals, with high quality, which gave the tools to provide care actions, with safety and relevance. This strategy sought to configure a new university model that, without neglecting cognitive solvency and professional competence, emphasize, preferably, on the formation of reflective, responsible, critical, innovative and versatile subjects(AU)
