[Orthovoltage roentgenotherapy in the treatment of lymphorrhea after reconstructive operations on the lower extremities arteries].

After performance of 728 reconstructive-restoration operations on the lower extremities arteries in 58 (7.9%) patients a lymphorrhea from the wound have had occurred. While roentgenotherapy application for postoperative lymphorrhea treatment in 67% patients a good result was achieved. The number of the ray therapy procedures was determined in accordance with the clinical effect obtained.

[Acute experimental enzymatic cholecystitis (clinico-morphological comparisons)]. / Ostryi éksperimental'nyi fermentativnyi kholetsistit (kliniko- morfologicheskie sopostavleniia).

In the experiment on 30 mongrel dogs, acute enzymatic cholecystitis (AEC) was modelled by means of intraduodenal connection with a fluoroplastic catheter of the common bile duct and pancreatic duct. The animals died at day 3-5 from transudative biliary peritonitis. A correlation between the severity of the clinical course, pronouncement of enzymologic shifts (increase in activity of amylase and phospholipase A2, content of biliary malonic dialdehyde) and morphological changes in the gallbladder and common bile duct in the form of necrosis and round-cell infiltration of the mucosa was revealed. Only decompression of the bile duct within the first 6 h from the moment of AEC development contributes to regression of clinical and enzymologic disorders and recovery of the animals.

[Clinico-morphologic evaluation of the course of the wound process after treatment of suppurative wounds with the CO2 laser]. / Kliniko-morfologicheskaia otsenka techeniia ranevogo protsessa posle obrabotki gnoinykh ran s pomoshch'iu CO2 lazera.

The complex examination and treatment of 238 patients with suppurative wounds of the soft tissues were carried out. Treating a suppurative wound by means of CO2-laser leads to reduction in microbial colonization of the tissues in its depth, accelerates maturation of granulations, wound cicatrization. The use of CO2-laser permitted to achieve primary healing of 94.3% of the wounds. The average duration of hospital stay of the patients was (9.2 +/- 1.4) days, in control--(11.8 +/- 1.6) days.

[Histological and cytological characteristics of structural changes of the endometrium of guinea pigs in health and in experimental glandular hyperplasia]. / Gistologicheskaia i tsitologicheskaia kharakteristika strukturnykh izmenenii éndometriia morskikh svinok v norme i pri éksperimental'noi zhelezistoi giperplazii.

An experiment on 203 guinea-pigs involved morphometric and cytological evaluation of morphofunctional profile of the endometrium and vaginal epithelium at various stages of the estrous cycle and endometrial glandular hyperplasia development. The results permitted the authors to establish morphometric and cytological criteria of estrogenic saturation of the organism, to reveal features of hyperplasia in paired and unpaired uterine parts in experimental exogenic hyperestrogenism. There appeared a correlation between variations in the cytological indices of the vaginal smear and the severity of endometrial hyperplastic process. The tendencies observed for quantitative indices warrant intravital evaluation of the formation of the experimental glandular endometrial hyperplasia and objective assessment of the test treatments.

[Placenta in multiple pregnancy]. / Posled pri mnogoplodnoi beremennosti.

One hundred and thirty-one structurally different placentas during multifoetal pregnancy have been studied by the morphohistochemical and morphological methods. A high degree of conservation of placenta tissue structures of twins is observed in clinically normal pregnancy; the disorganisation is very mild, and the whole tissue, especially the margin, is actively included in the compensatory-adaptive processes. During clinically complicated pregnancy combined with congenital defects of the foetus and placenta, reorganization of the functional morphology of the placenta of twins occurs, which has a dynamic character reflecting the degree of disorganization o the structural elements, and also the level of the development of compensatory-adaptive processes. The knowledge of these changes allows an evaluation with a high degree of significance of the functional ability of the twins placenta as an organ in which metabolic processes between mother and child take place.
