[Coronary sinus atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect and absence of left superior vena cava]. / Comunicação interatrial do tipo seio coronário, comunicação interventricular e ausência de veia cava superior esquerda.

We report a rare case of a 21 month old child with a coronary sinus atrial septal defect associated with perimembranous ventricular septal defect and no left superior vena cava. The diagnosis was made by transthoracic echocardiogram and confirmed by angiography. The patient was operated on uneventfully, both defects were closed with bovine pericardial patches and the flow from the coronary veins was directed towards the left atrium. An echocardiogram revealed complete closure of both defects.

[Nursing diagnoses in clients with hematologic diseases: use of the NANDA taxonomy]. / Diagnósticos de enfermagem em clientes com alterações hematológicas: uso da taxonomia i da NANDA.

The present paper aims to describe the most frequent nursing diagnoses found in a group of clients with hematologic diseases. Authors used the Taxonomy I proposed by the North American Nursing Diagnoses Association (NANDA) to guide this study. Data were collected from 14 clients. Authors identified 16 nursing diagnoses whose frequency were equal or higher to fifty percent. Other studies are needed to find a better definition of the diagnostic profile of these clients.

[Primary brain neoplasms associated with vascular malformations: anatomo-pathologic study of 2 cases]. / Neoplasias cerebrais primárias associadas a malformações vasculares: estudo anatomopatológico de dois casos.

The association of intracerebral vascular malformations and primary cerebral neoplasm is rare. The most commonly found vascular malformation with neoplasm is intracranial arterial aneurysm. We describe two cases of vascular malformations associated with primary cerebral neoplasms, with histologic and immunohistochemical studies.
