RESUMO

Determination of weak effects is proposed, their relationship with cosmophysical correlations is advanced. The experimental results are presented on the intensification coefficient of weak effects (10(4)) for polarized electromagnetic radiation. The magnetoresonance mechanism of weak effects is suggested. The experimental evidence in favor of this mechanism and its application to the problems of cosmophysical correlations are given.

RESUMO

To study the energy absorption in cell nuclei the analysis was made of the level of registration of beta-particles, emitted by the incorporated tritium, using a liquid scintillation counter. It was shown that the treatment, modifying the chromatin structure, changed the number of beta-particles registered. The pattern of the spectral changes indicated that the effect observed was not the result of the quenching processes. The effect was absent when the source of a higher energy (14C) was used. The authors submit the conceptions concerning the mechanisms of the phenomenon observed which are confirmed by the theoretical studies.

RESUMO

Exponential survival curves were obtained for a dry film culture of bacteriophage T4 Br+ after exposure to both alpha-particles and gamma-quanta. Relative biological effectiveness of alpha-particles was 4.68 with respect to survival. The mutation spectrum after alpha-irradiation slightly differed from that produced by gamma-radiation.
