RESUMO

It has been suggested that COVID-19 patients have distinct tongue features, which may help to monitor the development of their condition. To determine if there was any specific tongue coating feature in COVID-19, this study investigated the difference in tongue coating between COVID-19 subjects and subjects with other acute inflammatory diseases characterized by fever. Tongue images taken with smartphones from three age-matched groups, namely, COVID group (n=92), non-COVID febrile group (n=92), and normal control group (n=92), were analyzed by two blinded raters according to a tongue coating scoring scheme, which assessed the levels of thick fur, slimy or greasy fur, discolored fur and composite index of tongue coating. Compared with control, significant increases in all coating indexes were found in the COVID group (P<0.001), as well as in the non-COVID febrile group (P<0.001). However, no difference was observed between COVID and non-COVID febrile groups for all coating indexes measured. In COVID-19 subjects, their scores of coating indexes had weak but significant correlations with certain inflammatory biomarkers, including WBC and neutrophil - lymphocyte ratio. It is concluded that COVID-19 subjects have pathological tongue coating patterns that are associated with inflammatory responses, and these coating patterns can help to indicate the direction of disease development.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of drugs for gastrointestinal ulcer. METHODS:The drug use for gastrointestinal ulcer in outpatient department of our hospital during 2013-2015 was analyzed retrospectively in respects of drug name, consumption sum,DDDs,DDC,single/multiple diseases prescription, therapeutic efficacy, rationality of presoription, etc. RESULTS:A total of 8 kinds of drugs use for gastrointestinal ulcer in outpatient department of our hospital during 2013-2015, among which the consumption sum and DDDs of Omeprazole capsule and Rabeprazole capsule increased rapidly, and their DDC were the higher others;those of other drugs kept stable. The proportion of acid-inhibitory drugs in single disease prescriptions was lower than in multiple diseases prescriptions, while that of antiacid was higher than in multiple diseases prescriptions, with statisti-cal significance (P<0.05). The total effective rate of patients with gastrointestinal ulcer gradually increased from 77.98% to 82.68% in outpatient department of our hospital during 2013-2015,there was statistical significance between 2015 and 2013(P<0.05);the proportion of irrational prescriptions decreased from 5.01% to 2.12% year by year, with statistical significance among those years (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Omeprazole is the first choice for gastrointestinal ulcer in outpatient department of our hospital with good therapeutic efficacy. There still are some irrational drug use in prescriptions, and clinicians should pay attention to those situations.

RESUMO

After summing up the experience of recent years' clinic teaching, ICU department in Fangcun Branch of Second Clinical Medical College of Guangzhou University of TCM comes to a conclusion that, the clinical teaching of ICU should pay attention to and ensure effective implementation of beginning educationg. And following the PDCA method (Plan, Do, Check & Act) will make the work orderly, normative and controllable and meanwhile raise the students' observing and analysis ability as well as their operation and doctor-patient communication ability. In this way we can mostly enhance the effect of teaching.

RESUMO

Sampling behavior of multielements in a stream sediment matrix was studied with sample sizes in a range of 9 orders of magnitude by a combination of INAA, PIXE and SR-XRF. For accurately weighable sample sizes (>1mg), sampling uncertainties for 16 elements are better than 1% by INAA. For sample sizes that cannot be accurately weighed (<1mg), PIXE and SR-XRF were used and the effective sample sizes were estimated. Sampling uncertainties for seven elements are better than 1% at sample sizes of tenth mg level, and that for three elements are better than 10% on ng levels.

RESUMO

The instantaneous wear rates for both the top compression piston-ring and the cylinder-bore, in a ZS1105 diesel engine, were measured in situ using the method of thin layer activation (TLA). The experimental arrangement and methods for calibrating the test specimens are described. During a 300 s counting interval, the minimum detectable wear depths for the cylinder-bore and piston-ring were 9 and 75 nm, respectively. These values reflect average recession depths and may not reflect localized differences in wear damage. Nevertheless, such in situ techniques can be usefully employed in engine development.

RESUMO

0.05).The level of TGF-?1 in lung homogenate of model group was higher than blank group and Danshen group(P0.05).Conclusion TGF-?1 participates in invasion process of COPD and Danshen injection can interve COPD airway remodeling by down-regulating the level of TGF-?1.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the extracting technology of Nelumbo nucifera.METHODS:The extraction technology of Nelumbo nucifera was optimized by orthogonal experiment with the extraction rate of liensinine as index and with the concentration and amount of alcohol and the extraction time and extraction times as factors.RESULTS:The optimal conditions for extraction technology was as follows:adding four - fold amount of 80%alcohol and refluxing and extracting twice(1h each time).CONCLUSION:The extracting technology optimized under simulated conditions serves as a reference for industrial production.

RESUMO

In order to investigate the relationship between lichen planus pemphigoides (LPP) and bullous pemphigoid (BP) and to determine whether the LPP antigen is the classical BP antigen. Four LP patients who were found to have blisters or subepidermal bullae by clinical and histopathological findings were investigated using DIF, IIF, immunoblotting methods. The results showed that there were linear deposition of IgG along the BMZ in three cases, C3 granular deposition in four cases, and linear fibrin deposition in 3 cases. Two out of these patients showed circulating IgG anti-BMZ antibody with titers 1:80 and 1:320, and lmol/L NaCl split section showed that the antibody was bound to the epidermal side, as did control BP antisera. Western blotting of the epidermal extracts using the sera of these 4 patients showed that all 4 patients'sera reacted with the epidermal antigen, and the sera of 2 patients reacted with 200kD antigen which is different from classical bullous pemphigoid antigen. With a review of literature we suggest that LPP is not the overlapping of BP and LP.
