RESUMO

Objective:To evaluate the rehabilitation efficacy of early mobilization based on collaboration care model for patients with laparoscopic colorectal surgery. Methods:Cluster sampling method was used in the department to recruit colorectal cancer patients with laparoscopic surgery. The control group (49 cases) received routine perioperative care and exercise, and the intervention group (47 cases) received the coordinated early mobilization combined with routine perioperative care and exercise, from January to March 2019. Primary outcome were health status and the proportion of patients returning to preoperative functional walking capacity (6-min walk test) at 4 weeks after surgery. The in-hospital mobilization (time out-of-bed), time to achieve discharge criteria, time to recover gastrointestinal function and complication rate were explored. Results:In intervention group,89.4%(42/47) of patients achieved mobilization target on 4 days after surgery compared with 42.6%(20/47) on the day of surgery. Time out of bed were greater in the intervention group compared with the control group, and there were differences between the two groups( Z values were -8.437--7.381, P<0.01). Time to recover gastrointestinal function and the recovery of energy on 3 days after surgery were (58.74±17.41) h, (59.02±9.46) points in the observation group, and (71.82±21.53) h, (62.61±7.68) points in the control group, and there were significant differences between the two groups ( t values were -3.263, -2.046, P<0.05). But other outcome measures were not different between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:For colorectal laparoscopic surgery patients, the coordinated early mobilization improved the adherence to ambulation, in-hospital mobilization, time to recover gastrointestinal function and recovery of energy to promote rehabilitation.

RESUMO

Objective@#This study aimed to examine the demographic characteristics, HIV related knowledge and behavior, correlates of bisexual behavior and status of HIV infection among men who have sex with men only (MSMO) and men who have sex with both men and women (MSMW) in Shandong province.@*Methods@#According to the requirements from "National HIV/AIDS sentinel surveillance program" , a cross-sectional survey was conducted to collect information on demographics, sexual and drug use behaviors, and HIV-related services among MSM in nine sentinel surveillance sites from April to July in 2018. Blood samples were drawn for serological tests on both HIV and syphilis antibodies.@*Results@#A total of 3 474 participants were included in this study. Related information on these participants would include: average age as (31.66±9.01) years; 35.06% (1 218) married or cohabiting with a woman, 50.52% (1 755) had college or higher education, 80.11% (2 783) self-identified as gays and 14.22% (494) self-identified as bisexual men,16.87% (586) ever having sex with woman in the past 6 months, 10.51% (365) ever using drugs. HIV and syphilis prevalence rates were 2.99% (104/3 474) and 2.76%(96/3 474). Through multivariable logistic models, MSMW were more likely to be ≥35 years of age, local residents, self-identified as heterosexual/bisexual/uncertain, ever having commercial sex with man but less likely to consistently use condoms in the past 6 months, less using internet/dating software to find male sex partners and less using drugs. There was no significant differences noticed in the following areas: number of sexual partners in the last week, condom use in the last six months with commercial sex partners, with HIV or syphilis infection and self-reported history of STD in the past year between MSMO and MSMW (P>0.05). HIV-infected MSM were more likely to have the following features, ≥45 years of age, non-local residents, finding male sex partners from the bothhouses, park/toilets or from the internet/dating software, also less likely to consistently use condoms in the past 6 months, using drugs or with syphilis infection.@*Conclusions@#High prevalence of bisexual behavior as well as higher risk of HIV infection were noticed among MSM in Shandong province. It is important to strengthen related surveillance and effective intervention programs for MSM with different characteristics in Shandong province.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: This study aims to examine the effects of wellness education (WE) intervention on the behavioral change, psychological status, performance status on patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) undergoing icotinib hydrochloride treatment and their relationships with family caregivers. METHODS: We conducted an intervention study involving 126 individuals with confirmed activating epidermal growth factor receptor mutation-positive stage IV NSCLC who received icotinib hydrochloride as first-line therapy between January 2014 and January 2016; their caregivers were also included in the study. For a period of 12 weeks, participants were randomly assigned into WE and control groups. The patients and family members in the WE group were provided with WE information about treatment, diet, social needs, rehabilitation, physical/mental health education, communication strategies, and patient care advice at least 3 times per week during treatment. Qualitative feedback of the participants was recorded during the intervention. Food Composition Database, the Family Environment Scale, patients/caregivers quality-of-life (Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Lung/Caregiver Quality of Life Index-Cancer Scale), and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) were measured at baseline and for 12 weeks. Data were analyzed to compare the different outcomes. RESULTS: Of the 126 caregivers (64 WE and 62 control), 120 completed the study. We observed significant differences between the WE group and control group with respect to low daily calorie intake (31.0% vs 77.4%, p < 0.05), smoking cessationaaa and awareness of cancer (85.48% vs 100%, p < 0.05). The WE group showed high ratings on awareness of cancer risk and benefit, as well as confidence relating to the behaviors of healthful diet and self-motivation to conduct cancer test. Family caregivers had high ratings on 30-minute daily moderate physical activity (p > 0.05). After 12 weeks, WE intervention had improved scores on Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Lung-EWB and Caregiver Quality of Life Index-Cancer Scale adaptation. In addition, the patients also showed improvements in HADS. CONCLUSION: WE interventions in patients with stage IV NSCLC undergoing icotinib hydrochloride treatment and their family resulted in strong intentions to engage in health-promoting behaviors related to physical activity, smoking cessationaaa, and nutrition at the treatment period. WE intervention is a viable way to improve quality of life and HADS. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS: Findings from this study suggest that WE interventions in patients' family with stage IV NSCLC undergoing icotinib hydrochloride treatment are significant improvements in both HADS and quality of life. These data also indicate that lung cancer disparities are unlikely to be associated with differential willingness to receive care but that Chinese may perceive financial and insurance ebarriers to treatment.

RESUMO

A Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, catalase- and oxidase-positive rod, designated CCNWSP60(T), was isolated from the nodule surface of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] cultivar Zhonghuang 13. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis clearly showed that the isolate belonged to the genus Microbacterium . On the basis of pairwise comparisons of 16S rRNA gene sequences, strain CCNWSP60(T) was most closely related to Microbacterium murale DSM 22178(T) (98.8% similarity), Microbacterium aerolatum DSM 14217(T) (98.3%), Microbacterium ginsengiterrae DSM 24823(T) (98.0%) and Microbacterium profundi DSM 22239(T) (97.8%). However, the DNA-DNA relatedness values of strain CCNWSP60(T) to M. murale DSM 22178(T), M. aerolatum DSM 14217(T), M. ginsengiterrae DSM 24823(T) and M. profundi DSM 22239(T) were 48%, 43%, 28% and 41%, respectively. Growth of strain CCNWSP60(T) occurred at 4-40 °C and at pH 5.0-9.0. The NaCl range for growth was 0-4% (w/v). The predominant menaquinone of strain CCNWSP60(T) was MK-13; MK-12 was also detected. The major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, one unidentified glycolipid and one unidentified phospholipid. The diagnostic diamino acid of the peptidoglycan was ornithine. The acyl type of the peptidoglycan was glycolyl. The major fatty acids were anteiso-C15 : 0, iso-C16 : 0 and C16 : 0. The DNA G+C content of the type strain was 67.4 mol%. As the physiological and biochemical characteristics as well as the DNA-DNA relatedness between strain CCNWSP60(T) and the type strains of its closest phylogenetic neighbours showed clear differences, a novel species Microbacterium shaanxiense is proposed to accommodate it. The type strain is CCNWSP60(T) ( =DSM 28301(T) = ACCC 19329(T) =JCM 30164(T)).

RESUMO

Objective:To observe the effect of dexmedetomidine on sleep and anxiety in cancer patients who received chemothera-py. Methods: Sixty cancer patients suffering from sleep disorders or anxiety symptoms and receiving chemotherapy between March and June 2014 were randomly divided into treatment and control groups. The patients in the treatment group were treated with intrave-nous drip of 1.0μg/kg dexmedetomidine for more than 30 min, once a day for three days. The patients in the control group were given the same dose and drip time of normal saline. Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS) was used to assess the sleep quality of patients before and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days after the administration of dexmedetomidine. Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) was employed to assess anxi-ety before and the 3rd day after the administration of dexmedetomidine. Results:Compared with the control group and status before ad-ministration of dexmedetomidine, the AIS scores were significantly lower in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days after administration (P<0.01), and the SAS scores were also significantly lower in the 3rd day after administration (P<0.01). Conclusion:Dexmedetomidine may im-prove sleep quality and alleviate anxiety symptoms in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
