RESUMO
The samples of vanadium-rich oil obtained from the field in Buzachi peninsula and of this oil products were applied subcutaneously to hybrid mice. In response to the application 27.5-56.6% of the animals developed renal impairment manifest morphologically in the range from acute proliferative glomerulonephritis to nephrosclerosis. Nephrotoxicity of the products increased with elevation of their sublimation temperature. Vanadium concentrations grew respectively. Intraperitoneal introduction of the products to rats provoked acute intracapillary glomerulonephritis with partial tubular and glomerular necrosis associated with acute renal failure.

The contributors performed a study of the blastomogenic properties of the heavy high vanadium oil processed at different temperatures. Skin applications of the oil and oil products in hybrid mice induced skin tumours in 27.5 (48.7%), pregastric--6.4 (7.6%), genital--15.4 (21.1%) cases. It was established that high temperatures of oil sublimation increased the benzopyrene contents and the oil products' blastomogenic activity.

The study was designed to analyze vanadium content in urine samples of 87 workers engaged in the production of high-vanadium oil and 50 persons of the control group. Statistical data verified an elevated vanadium content in the urine of oil miners and especially of operators of the shop of oil and gas production. Urine concentration of vanadium grew along with the increase in the length of service.
