RESUMO

In this work there is shown a variability of heart rate and time delay of pulse wave of main arteries in schoolchildren. There is used the function of ordinary coherence of HR and DPW (time delay of pulse wave). This function reflects the rate of statistical linear relation of two processes in heart and blood vessels. A high tone of sympathetic part of vegetative nervous activity in schoolchildren increases CO (cardeiac out), shortens the hard connection phase of HR and DPW and results in a new system characteristic--arterial rigidity. There are presented results of passive orthostatic test and pharmacological tests on activation of sympathetic part of vegetative nervous activity in schoolchildren with heart rate problems.

RESUMO

The aim of the investigation has been to verify microscopical anatomy of the midbrain tegmentum (cytoarchitectonics of its reticular formation). A new modification of the silver impregnation technique has been used; it fully reveals multipolar neural cells with their numerous processes. The authors have succeeded in studying clusters of the neural cells between the oculomotor nerve nuclei and around them. This cluster differs from the surrounding neural tissue and from the oculomotor nerve nuclei by the cell arrangement density, by their size and form, as well as by the fact that it resembles the intramural vegetative neural plexus. The multiprocessing form of the cells of the intrategmental plexus and its topographic connection with the oculomotor nerve nuclei complex makes it possible to suggest an integrative function of this plexus in the system of the oculomotor nerve nuclei, ensuring the coordinative activity of the voluntary and involuntary muscles of the eye.

RESUMO

The venous bed has been studied in brain preparations of some Vertebrata (fishes, amphibia, reptiles, birds) with injection of the vessels. It has been noted that together with the morphological regularity in the structure of the midbrain portions, certain structural principles of its blood bed are kept. The venous outflow reflects the intermediate position of the midbrain: some blood in the animals studied flows from the midbrain into the basilar vein system, another portion of the blood flows into a tributary of the future central vein. Anatomical peculiarities of the midbrain veins in the animals studied demonstrate that it is the functional activity that determines the circulation in this part of the brain.
