Detecting and recognizing low-moral actions in public spaces is important. But low-moral actions are rare, so in order to learn to recognize a new low-moral action in general we need to rely on a limited number of samples. In order to study the recognition of actions from a comparatively small dataset, in this work we introduced a new dataset of human actions consisting in large part of low-moral behaviors. In addition, we used this dataset to test the performance of a number of classifiers, which used either depth data or extracted skeletons. The results show that both depth data and skeleton based classifiers were able to achieve similar classification accuracy on this dataset (Top-1: around 55%, Top-5: around 90%). Also, using transfer learning in both cases improved the performance.

In recent decades, bacterial and viral infections and chronic inflammatory response have emerged as important causes of cancer. Also, infections remain a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in cancer patients. In this work, carboxymethyl chitosan nanoparticles (CMC NPs) were synthesized in a facile and green way and further combined with ammonium methylbenzene blue (MB) as a cross-linking agent as well as a fluorescent molecule and a photosensitizer for self-imaging photodynamic therapy (PDT). The obtained CMC-MB NPs exhibited an apparent pH-responsive release behavior of MB, which was released for a prolonged period in a simulated physiological environment (pH 7.4) for more than 15 days and the time reduced to only 3.5 h in acidic conditions (pH 5.5). When irradiated by a 650 nm laser at 202 mW/cm2 for 5 min, the CMC-MB NPs showed efficient bactericidal and biofilm eradication properties as well as suppression of tumor cell growth in a similar acidified microenvironment. Furthermore, in an in vivo rabbit wound bacterial infection model, the rapid sterilization of CMC-MB NPs played a crucial role in bacterial infections, inflammation inhibition, and wound healing. As a PDT treatment against cancer, the CMC-MB NPs also exhibited an efficient antitumor therapeutic effect in a subcutaneous tumor mice model.

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) on quality of life (QOL) and psychological health of breast cancer survivors and patients. METHODS: A total of 1289 references were examined from an overall literature search in PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. Randomized controlled trials assessing the efficacy of CBT compared with a range of comparators in cancer survivors. We assessed the effect of CBT by using the standardized mean difference as effect size. RESULTS: Among 1289 abstracts and 292 full-text articles reviewed, 10 studies were included. At the posttreatment period, the pooled effect size for CBT on QOL was 0.57 (95% CI, 0.44 to 0.69; P < .001), on depression was -1.11 (95% CI, -1.28 to -0.94; P < .001), on stress was -0.40 (95% CI, -0.53 to -0.26; P < .001), on anxiety was -1.10 (95% CI, -1.27 to -0.93; P < .001), and on hyperarousal cluster of symptoms was -0.18 (95% CI, -0.30 to -0.05; P < .001). The QOL was considered statistically medium effect sizes. The depression and anxiety were considered statistically large effect sizes. CONCLUSIONS: Cognitive behavior therapy is an effective therapy for psychological symptoms of cancer survivors and patients, with meaningfully clinical effect sizes. These findings suggested that CBT should be used as the intervention for breast cancer survivors and patients when possible.
