RESUMO

Many studies have examined the influence of digital technologies, such as robots and artificial intelligence, on enterprise labor, but few have investigated the underlying mechanisms and impact paths of digital empowerment on labor employment. Therefore, this study uses data on manufacturing enterprises listed on China's Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share markets from 2011 to 2020, and applies a panel fixed effect model to test the relationship between digital empowerment and labor employment, and the mechanisms underlying this relationship. We find that digital empowerment increases labor employment. However, the effects are heterogeneous: firms with better corporate governance, more competitive industry, and less favorable regional business environments are more motivated to optimize the structure of their labor resources. Through robustness test and mediation effect model test, we find that digital empowerment can improve enterprise human capital by increasing economies scale and managerial efficiency, especially the employment of R&D and innovation personnel and management personnel; it can also affect the amount of human capital by improving total factor productivity.

RESUMO

Objectives: This experiment investigated the role of the FAD-dependent oxidoreductase domain-containing 2 (FOXRED2) in the development of cutaneous malignant melanoma. Methods: We explored the expression and prognostic effects of FOXRED2 in cutaneous malignant melanoma by performing bioinformatics analyses and immunohistochemical staining experiments and verified the biological influence of FOXRED2 on human melanoma cells using in vitro experiments. Results: FOXRED2 expression was significantly higher in cutaneous malignant melanoma compared to normal skin and nevus tissues and closely associated with prognosis. The expression levels of FOXRED2 mRNA and protein were significantly upregulated in human melanoma cell lines, and knocking down FOXRED2 expression inhibits proliferation, invasion, and migration, promotes apoptosis, and alters tumor cell biology in A2058 and A375 cells. Conclusion: FOXRED2 may play a crucial role in the development and progression of cutaneous malignant melanoma.

RESUMO

The rise of flexible electronics calls for efficient microbatteries (MBs) with requirements in energy/power density, stability, and flexibility simultaneously. However, the ever-reported flexible MBs only display progress around certain aspects of energy loading, reaction rate, and electrochemical stability, and it remains challenging to develop a micro-power source with excellent comprehensive performance. Herein, a reconstructed hierarchical Ni-Co alloy microwire is designed to construct flexible Ni-Zn MB. Notably, the interwoven microwires network is directly formed during the synthesis process, and can be utilized as a potential microelectrode which well avoids the toxic additives and the tedious traditional powder process, thus greatly simplifying the manufacture of MB. Meanwhile, the hierarchical alloy microwire is composed of spiny nanostructures and highly active alloy sites, which contributes to deep reconstruction (≈100 nm). Benefiting from the dense self-assembled structure, the fabricated Ni-Zn MB obtained high volumetric/areal energy density (419.7 mWh cm-3 , 1.3 mWh cm-2 ), and ultrahigh rate performance extending the power density to 109.4 W cm-3 (328.3 mW cm-2 ). More surprisingly, the MB assembled by this inherently flexible microwire network is extremely resistant to bending/twisting. Therefore, this novel concept of excellent comprehensive micro-power source will greatly hold great implications for next-generation flexible electronics.

RESUMO

Miniaturized energy storage devices with superior performance and compatibility with facile fabrication are highly desired in smart microelectronics. Typical fabrication techniques are generally based on powder printing or active material deposition, which restrict the reaction rate due to the limited optimization of electron transport. Herein, we proposed a new strategy for the construction of high-rate Ni-Zn microbatteries based on a 3D hierarchical porous nickel (Ni) microcathode. With sufficient reaction sites from the hierarchical porous structure as well as excellent electrical conductivity from the superficial Ni-based activated layer, this Ni-based microcathode is featured with fast-reaction capability. By virtue of facile electrochemical treatment, the fabricated microcathode realized an excellent rate performance (over 90% capacity retention when the current density increased from 1 to 20 mA cm-2). Furthermore, the assembled Ni-Zn microbattery achieved a rate current of up to 40 mA cm-2 with a capacity retention of 76.9%. Additionally, the high reactivity of the Ni-Zn microbattery is also durable in 2000 cycles. This 3D hierarchical porous Ni microcathode, as well as the activation strategy, provides a facile route for the construction of microcathodes and enriches high-performance output units for integrated microelectronics.

RESUMO

Background: Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC), a kind of skin cancer with high rates of morbidity and mortality, occurs frequently in the clinic. Although early surgical treatment can achieve good results, there is no effective prevention and treatment for the recurrence and metastasis of cSCC. As a useful resource to protect humans from disease, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been adopted by clinicians for thousands of years. Methods: In this study, we collected a Chinese medicine formula and then employed a data mining method to analyze drug combinations of Si-Jun-Zi (SJZ) decoction. Multiple databases were used in this study to predict various ingredients, compounds, and their targets in the decoction. The potential targets of cSCC were also obtained from the database in the same way. In addition, as bioinformatics analysis methods, Gene Ontology (GO) analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis were used in our research as supplementary means to network pharmacology. Finally, we used ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) fingerprinting to analyze the effective components of the TCM decoction. Results: We detected 559 active compounds from Ginseng, Largehead Atractylodes, India Bread, and Glycyrrhiza Inflata, and selected 136 molecules under specific conditions. The mechanisms of the TCM formula were illustrated by the network pharmacology, such as compounds-herb network, compounds-target network, disease-target network, and target-target interaction network, as well as characteristics of the TCM. Then, GO analysis and KEGG analysis were performed on the compounds in the network using multiple methods of data mining and bioinformatics, and 10 candidate targets were identified. In addition, the UPLC fingerprinting method was used to analyze the components of SJZ decoction. Conclusions: Network pharmacology was performed to investigate the characteristics and mechanism of SJZ decoction, and a bioinformatics method was used to analyze the relationship between the effective compounds of the SJZ TCM decoction and cSCC-related specific targets and pathways, to find a variety of candidate compounds with multi-target activity.

RESUMO

The demand for green and efficient energy storage devices in daily life is constantly rising, which is caused by the global environment and energy problems. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), an important kind of energy storage devices, are attracting much attention. Graphite is used as LIBs anode, however, its theoretical capacity is low, so it is necessary to develop LIBs anode with higher capacity. Application strategies and research progresses of novel iron oxides and their composites as LIBs anode in recent years are summarized in this review. Herein we enumerate several typical synthesis methods to obtain a variety of iron oxides based nanostructures, such as gas phase deposition, co-precipitation, electrochemical method, etc. For characterization of the iron oxides based nanostructures, especially the in-situ X-ray diffraction and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy are elaborated. Furthermore, the electrochemical applications of iron oxides based nanostructures and their composites are discussed and summarized.Graphic Abstract.
