[Use of adaptogens for antioxidant system correction in complex treatment of mandibular fractures].

Antioxidatic protection has been studied in 84 patients with mandibular fractures between the ages of 21 and 40; the patients were divided into two groups. Activation of lipid peroxidation in both groups was revealed. The increase of antioxidant's activity system in 37.18% in the main study group that along with traditional treatment received Epsorin was determined. No complications in the main group during the post-surgery period were recorded.

[Social and hygienic aspects of mandible fractures in Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)].

Comprehensive social and hygienic survey of 209 patients with mandible fracture was conducted. Their social features were: young adults, predominantly male, ethnicity mainly yakuts, temporarily unemployed, with secondary and post-secondary education and health behavior problems. The majority of jaw injuries were caused by household (26.21 ± 0.92%) and street traumas (63.03 ± 0.46%). High prevalence of major oral diseases depends strongly on the low sanitary culture, which had a negative impact on the development of posttraumatic complications.

When the rat spinal motor centre was activated by fixing the animal in a supine posture, the motor units of intact gastrocnemius muscle fired more frequently in the high-frequency range. Under conditions of the ischiatic nerve blockade, a shift to an increase in the background firing frequency of the motor units related to intact gastrocnemius muscle seems to be related to increased motoneurone excitability occurring because of the contralateral denervation.

[Measurement of the thickness of a histological preparation by the interference method]. / Opredelenie tolshchiny gistologicheskogo preparata interferentsionnym metodom.

The proposed method allows to measure the thickness of microscopic section by combing the method of air optical wedge and smooth alteration of wave length by means of monochromator. The latter provides exact localization of the interference fringe on the desired zone of the wedge thus sparing the necessity of measuring the interference fringe on the wedge.
