RESUMO
Skin samples from 4 body sites were taken from 10 camels and histochemically treated for the localization of AChE and BuChE enzymes. The sebaceous and sewat glands were active site for both enzymes. The weat gland were innervated by a plexus of AChE-positive nerve fibers. In the papillary layer, the nerve breaks to form a plexus supplying the blood vessels, from this plexus fibers end in the deep interface of the epidermis. End bulbs and free intraepidermal nerve ending reactive for AChE were demonstrated.

The parotid salivary gland of the goat was studied histoenzymologically. It was found that AKPase was confined to the myoepithelial cells and blood capillaries. ACPase positive granules were concentrated in the luminal parts of acinar cells and along the intercellular canaliculi. NSE showed granular and apical localization in the ductal cells. The periductal nerve plexus had strong AChE and BuChE activities. The acinar cells presented moderate granular activity only for specific Che. CO, SDH, NADHD, NADPHD, G-6-PDH, ISCDH, LDH and GDH were demonstrated in the acinar and ductal cells with higher concentrations in th striated and interlobular ducts.

The micromorphology and histochemistry of mucosubstances in mandibular salivary gland of goat were studied. Encapsulated ganglia were present in the interlobular connective tissue giving nerve fibres to the ducts and blood vessels therein. The mandibular gland of goat was a mixed tubuloacinar gland possessing mucous tubules and acini, the latter capped by seromucous demilunes. The mucous secretory units contained high amounts of neutral and acidic sulfated mucosubstances. The seromucoid demilunes contained neutral and less acidic nonsulfated mucosubstances. No glycogen was found in both types of secretory cells.
