RESUMO

The authors described 21 patients aged 37 to 83 with ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (10 with ischemic myelopathy, 6 with aftermaths of a trauma of the cervical spine, and 5 with the radicular syndrome on the basis of vertebral osteochondrosis. X-ray signs of three types of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament were defined and specified: linear, curved and mixed. The linear type was more frequently observed in the cervical spine whereas the curved type was more frequent in the lumbar spine.

RESUMO

The results of clinico-retgenological investigations of 12 patients (7 males and 5 females) aged 26 to 57 years with concealed myelodysplasy were analyzed. Initial clinical signs are considered with neurological disorders and rentgenological signs of changes in bones and joints. The latters were characterized as: 1, secondary neurodystrophic lesions; 2, congenital malformations with frequent large and several segments-long spina bifida posterior in lumbosecral region; 3, degenerative-dystrophic lesions. Labor ability of myelodysplasy patients was determined by the degree and extent of neurodystrophic disorders, skeleton anomalies, nervous dysfunction, the course of pathology with due account of the character of the job and wording conditions.

RESUMO

The authors have made a clinicoroentgenologic and pathomorphologic comparison of the materials of examination of 81 patients aged 60 to 75 years with exacerbations of chronic gunshot osteomyelitis of the long bones after 40-45 years. The clinicoroentgenologic characteristics of active and slow exacerbations is presented. Four types of changes in the roentgenologic picture have been revealed: destructive, necrotic, corticalitis type, fistulous and mixed. The peculiarity of the manifestations of osteonecrosis in the form of sequesters and two types of crumb-like inclusions and bone reconstruction (with linear separation of the compact bone layer on the inner surface and perifocal osteoporosis) has been pointed out. Besides, some problems of medical labour examination in chronic gunshot osteomyelitis after 40-45 years have been considered.

RESUMO

An analysis of neurodystrophical lesions of the bone-joint apparatus of spinal etiology permitted to establish some general regularities and their expression and to detect their interrelation between disturbances of the spinal trophical functions as well. Neurodystrophical lesions should be considered as indices of disturbed spinal trophical functions and secondary inadequacy of the locomotor system.
