RESUMO

Broadband acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) is widely used in agricultural water resource explorations, such as river discharge monitoring and flood warning. Improving the velocity estimation accuracy of broadband ADCP by adjusting the waveform parameters of a phase-encoded signal will reduce the velocity measurement range and water stratification accuracy, while the promotion of stratification accuracy will degrade the velocity estimation accuracy. In order to minimize the impact of these two problems on the measurement results, the ADCP waveform optimization problem that satisfies the environment constraints while keeping high velocity estimation accuracy or stratification accuracy is studied. Firstly, the relationship between velocity or distance estimation accuracy and signal waveform parameters is studied by using an ambiguity function. Secondly, the constraints of current velocity range, velocity distribution and other environmental characteristics on the waveform parameters are studied. For two common measurement applications, two dynamic configuration methods of waveform parameters with environmental adaptability and optimal velocity estimation accuracy or stratification accuracy are proposed based on the nonlinear programming principle. Experimental results show that compared with the existing methods, the velocity estimation accuracy of the proposed method is improved by more than 50%, and the stratification accuracy is improved by more than 22%.

RESUMO

Direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals are now widely used in air and underwater acoustic communications. A receiver which does not know the pseudo-random (PN) sequence cannot demodulate the DSSS signal. In this paper, firstly, the principle of principal component analysis (PCA) for PN sequence estimation of the DSSS signal is analyzed, then a modified online unsupervised learning machine (LEAP) is introduced for PCA. Compared with the original LEAP, the modified LEAP has the following improvements: (1) By normalizing the system state transition matrices, the modified LEAP can obtain better robustness when the training errors occur; (2) with using variable learning steps instead of a fixed one, the modified LEAP not only converges faster but also has excellent estimation performance. When the modified LEAP is converging, we can utilize the network connection weights which are the eigenvectors of the autocorrelation matrix of the DSSS signal to estimate the PN sequence. Due to the phase ambiguity of the eigenvectors, a novel approach which is based on the properties of the PN sequence is proposed here to exclude the wrong estimated PN sequences. Simulation results showed that the methods mentioned above can estimate the PN sequence rapidly and robustly, even when the DSSS signal is far below the noise level.

RESUMO

Since digital communication signals are widely used in radio and underwater acoustic systems, the modulation classification of these signals has become increasingly significant in various military and civilian applications. However, due to the adverse channel transmission characteristics and low signal to noise ratio (SNR), the modulation classification of communication signals is extremely challenging. In this paper, a novel method for automatic modulation classification of digital communication signals using a support vector machine (SVM) based on hybrid features, cyclostationary, and information entropy is proposed. In this proposed method, by combining the theory of the cyclostationary and entropy, based on the existing signal features, we propose three other new features to assist the classification of digital communication signals, which are the maximum value of the normalized cyclic spectrum when the cyclic frequency is not zero, the Shannon entropy of the cyclic spectrum, and Renyi entropy of the cyclic spectrum respectively. Because these new features do not require any prior information and have a strong anti-noise ability, they are very suitable for the identification of communication signals. Finally, a one against one SVM is designed as a classifier. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods in terms of classification performance and noise tolerance.

RESUMO

In active sonar systems, the target echoes are usually equivalent to a superposition of the Doppler-scaled reflections from multiple highlights. The reflections overlap with each other both in the time and frequency domain, which results in a decreased velocity estimation performance. Recently, the hyperbolic-frequency modulated signal has been widely employed in sonar systems for moving targets due to its Doppler tolerance, while the precise velocity estimation becomes a great challenge under such conditions. In this paper, the echo c is modeled onsidering a target with a constant velocity and multi-highlights. The velocity estimation performance is analyzed though the signal's matched filter and the wideband ambiguity function. An improved method based on the sliding window matching algorithm is proposed to improve the performance. The method controls the energy of environmental noise and interference by focusing on the dominant target highlight, and applying a designed window which utilizes the Doppler characteristics of hyperbolic-frequency modulated signals. Simulations and lake experiment allow us to compare between the improved method and the conventional matched filter method. The results verify the influence of the multi-highlights in velocity estimation and indicate that the improved method has more effective performance.

RESUMO

Mediated by sodium persulfate (Na(2)S(2)O(8)), a series of polysubstituted 4-pyridones were synthesized via self-condensation of N-aryl acetoacetamides, during which a novel N to C 1,3-acyl migration should be involved. The structure of 4-pyridone was unequivocally confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. However, the self-condensation of N-benzyl acetoacetamides under the same condition gave polysubstituted 2-pyridones instead of 4-pyridones.
