RESUMO

Photosensitizers (PSs) with nano- or micro-sized pore provide a great promise in the conversion of light energy into chemical fuel due to the excellent promotion for transporting singlet oxygen (1O2) into active sites. Despite such hollow PSs can be achieved by introducing molecular-level PSs into porous skeleton, however, the catalytic efficiency is far away from imagination because of the problems with pore deformation and blocking. Here, very ordered porous PSs with excellent 1O2 generation are presented from cross-linking of hierarchical porous laminates originated by co-assembly of hydrogen donative PSs and functionalized acceptor. The catalytic performance strongly depends on the preformed porous architectures, which is regulated by special recognition of hydrogen binding. As the increasing of hydrogen acceptor quantities, 2D-organized PSs laminates gradually transform into uniformly perforated porous layers with highly dispersed molecular PSs. The premature termination by porous assembly endows superior activity as well as specific selectivity for the photo-oxidative degradation, which contributes to efficient purification in aryl-bromination without any postprocessing.

RESUMO

The persistent proatlantal intersegmental artery is a rare variant of persistent carotid-vertebrobasilar anastomoses, especially their bilateral presence is rarer. We report a case of bilateral typeII persistent proatlantal intersegmental artery. The absence of bilateral vertebral arteries was incidentally noted on neck ultrasound examination. Subsequent time-of-flight MR angiography confirmed this. The bilateral typeIIpersistent proatlantal intersegmental artery arose from the cervical external carotid artery, penetrated the C1 transverse foramen, entered the skull via the foramen magnum, and joined the lower portion of the basilar artery.

RESUMO

In this work, a novel dual-ratiometric optical probe based on europium-doped carbon dots (Eu-CDs) was developed for colorimetric and fluorescent visual sensing dipicolinic acid (DPA), a anthrax biomarker. Eu-CDs with recessive signals were prepared via thermal pyrolysis method. And the magenta appears when Eu-CDs coordinates with Eriochrome Black T (EBT). Based on the ligand displacement strategy, DPA reduces magenta and makes blue appear, which develop ratiometric colorimetric visual detection methods of DPA. Under 270 nm excitation, DPA make the red fluorescence signal of Eu in EBT-CDs@Eu appear, based on the absorbance-energy transfer-emission effect, the ratiometric fluorescent visual detection assay of DPA has been developed. Based above, dual-ratiometric optical probe was designed successfully. The limit of detection (LOD) is 10.6 nM for ratio colorimetric assay. More prominently, naked-eye determination of DPA without instrument is as low as 1.0 µM. Furthermore, its practicability was verified by quantifying the DPA in Bacillus subtilis spores and human urine (with RSD≤2.35%). The sensor shows great superiority in on-site analysis of DPA, especially in limited instruments conditions.

RESUMO

Rapid and selective removal of micropollutants from water is important for the reuse of water resources. Despite hollow frameworks with specific functionalized porous walls for the selective adsorption based on a series of interactions, tailoring a stable shape of nanometer- and micrometer-sized architectures for the removal of specific pollutants remains a challenge. Here, exactly controlled sheets, tubes, and spherical frameworks were presented from the crosslinking of supramolecular colloids in polar solvents. The frameworks strongly depended on the architecture of original supramolecular colloids. As the entropy of colloids increased, the initial laminar framework rolled up into hollow tubules, and then further curled into hollow spheres. These shape-persistent frameworks showed unprecedented selectivity as well as specific recognition for the shape of pollutants, thus contributing to efficient pollutant separation.

RESUMO

The characteristics of the upconversion (UC) photoluminescence (PL) of fluoroquinolones (FQs) are reported here for the first time. Using UC PL, a simple, sensitive, and cost-effective method of determining FQs was developed that eliminated interference arising from biological background fluorescence and did not require UV light to excite the FQ (in contrast to downconversion PL), which is an advantage given that UV is potentially damaging to organisms. Ciprofloxacin (CPFX) and levofloxacin (LVFX), two important FQs, were studied. The effects of acidity, temperature, the solvent used, ionic strength, and stable time on the UC PL from the two FQs were also investigated. The UC PL intensity was found to be proportional to the concentration of CPFX over the range 0.05-100 µmol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9992, and proportional to the concentration of LVFX over the range 0.05-100 µmol/L with a correlation coefficient of 0.9991. The limit of detection (LOD) was 6.05 nmol/L for CPFX and 5.64 nmol/L for LVFX. The proposed method was successfully used to determine FQs in human serum and pharmaceutical samples. The recoveries of the two FQs ranged from 96.0% to 103.2% and the RSD was < 2.62%. Graphical abstract.

RESUMO

Research on temporal characteristics of human dynamics has attracted much attentions for its contribution to various areas such as communication, medical treatment, finance, etc. Existing studies show that the time intervals between two consecutive events present different non-Poisson characteristics, such as power-law, Pareto, bimodal distribution of power-law, exponential distribution, piecewise power-law, et al. With the occurrences of new services, new types of distributions may arise. In this paper, we study the distributions of the time intervals between two consecutive visits to QQ and WeChat service, the top two popular instant messaging services in China, and present a new finding that when the value of statistical unit T is set to 0.001s, the inter-event time distribution follows a piecewise distribution of exponential and power-law, indicating the heterogeneous character of IM services users' online behavior in different time scales. We infer that the heterogeneous character is related to the communication mechanism of IM and the habits of users. Then we develop a combination model of exponential model and interest model to characterize the heterogeneity. Furthermore, we find that the exponent of the inter-event time distribution of the same service is different in two cities, which is correlated with the popularity of the services. Our research is useful for the application of information diffusion, prediction of economic development of cities, and so on.
