RESUMO

The effect of water samples with different structural states on some physiological indices of white laboratory rats, 5 groups of 10 animals (5 females and 5 males) and frogs has been studied. The investigation was performed for 1 month. For the determination of the content of liquid crystal associates (LCA) in water samples there was used the dilatometric method, the performance of experimental animals was studied by the swimming test (up to total fatigue). The performed experiment on growing rats with the use of water with varying degrees of structuredness showed that according to the weight gain there were optimal water "Lekor" and tap water, treated with Bioptron (the content of the structured fraction is 5.06 +/- 0.09% and 6.9 +/- 0.23%, respectively). On physical performance the best indices were in animals consumed water treated with the Bioptron lamp. In performance of experiments on frogs it was found that cardiac function in animals under experimental conditions over time weakens spontaneously: heart rate and cardiac output decline. Therefore, the effect of different water samples on the cardiac function was assessed on the intensity of its decrease for 15 minutes. In the experimental study of the effect of water with different content of LCA on heart rate and cardiac output of the frog it was found that the optimum level of structuredness of water is within the range of 5.06 +/- 0.09% (in water "Lekor") - 6.9 +/- 0.23% (tap water treated with Bioptron). All the other water samples, the content of nanocrystals in which was below or above this range, has a pronounced inhibitory effect on the heart performance of the frog.

RESUMO

The study of the structural state of tap water that has been stored for two days in the packaging materials of various type and in different conditions, was performed with the use of crystallographic method for the investigation of liquids based on a special approach for dehydration of the drop, which is a fixed thin "slice" of the examines liquid. Most organized crystallographic pattern was shown to observe in a drop of water after treatment Bioptron lamp (content of liquid-crystal associates (LCA)--6.90 ± 0.23), and stored in a silver vessel (content LCA--6.28 ± 0.17), and the least organized, almost amorphous precipitate is formed in a drop of water stored in plastic containers (content LCA--2.92 ± 0.15%). Basing on the obtained results, it can be concluded that the crystallographic method can be used for the identification of qualitative changes occurring in liquid water under the influence of various physical factors, for the identification of the rationality of the use of hereafter sophisticated quantitative techniques.

RESUMO

When water is stored, the material of crockery is of vital importance as it affects the properties of water. Contacting the material having a crystalline structure causes water structurization and uncrystalline materials (plastic and enamel ware) fail to maintain the structural property of water or destruct the property in storage. Ceramic foodware positively affects the structure of water although there is a significant increase in the content of its structurized fraction only in just 2 days. The water storage type that is optimal and most acceptable in private life is glassware in diffused sunlight that causes positive water structural changes increasing by day 2. Addition of a metallic component, silver in particular, enhances the process of water structurization. The worst type is plastic ware water storage.

RESUMO

The authors consider the molecular mechanisms of cytolysis, the leading pathomorphological syndrome of chronic diffuse hepatic diseases (CDHD), in the context of the relationship of bioradical homeostasis and hydration. A hundred and thirty five males, including 40 patients with CDHD and 95 donors were examined. It has been established that there is a reduction in the activity of alanine aminotransferase and an increase in the de Ritis coefficient over 1.05 and in bioradical homeostatic imbalance due to the less total antioxidative activity below 33% of the normal value, as well as a decrease in the hydration coefficient below 66% of the normal value due to the elevated amount of free water and to the lower amount of bound water. The findings permit one to monitor the course of CDHD and the treatment of patients and to predetermine the use of synthetic antiradical agents to abolish cytolysis.

RESUMO

Dilatometry was used to measure the sputum content of free and bound water in 28 patients with acute focal pneumonias during the acute period of the disease and in the phase of remission. The adhesion properties of the sputum were studied in parallel. The status of the mucociliary defense system was assessed in terms of the time of excretion with the sputum of inhaled own hemoglobin. During the acute disease period, changes in tracheobronchial secretion were identified. They were manifested by high adhesion of the sputum, an increase in it of bound and a reduction of free water fractions. The rate of mucociliary transport was appreciably lowered. During remission, water fractions were found to be redistributed at the expense of the rise of free and decrease of bound ones. That was associated with a decrease of the adhesion properties of the sputum and normalization of mucociliary transport. Therefore, the measurement of water fractions in the sputum is an important diagnostic criterion for evaluation of the status of the mucociliary defense system.

RESUMO

The effect of electrolysis sodium hypochlorite solution (ENaClO) on the course of an inflammatory process in 233 patients with purulent pathology of different etiology was studied. ENaClO was obtained by means of electrolysis of the isotonic sodium chloride solution in the electrochemical cell. It was established that ENaClO had a pronounced bactericidal action contributing to acceleration of an inflammatory focus clearance of purulent-necrotic masses, stimulation of local immunity, activation of reparative processes.

RESUMO

It was demonstrated experimentally that aminazine, phentolamine, nuredal, sapilent, teperin, dopegyt improved significantly the health status of animals exposed to high temperature and in many cases prevented their death. This gives evidence that the sympathetic nervous system plays a leading role in heat stroke and that sympathotrophic drugs can be used for protective purpose during acute overheating.
