RESUMO

Nowadays, preferred compromise response of renewable energies' demands regarding the candidate sustainable feedstocks is a crucial issue for market change management. Thus, selecting the most suitable sustainable feedstock is a key factor for optimum renewable products allocation problem. To address the issue, this study proposes a hybrid adaptive framework based on consensus evaluation approach, weighting and ranking procedure, and preferred demand assignment under dynamic hesitant fuzzy sets. In this respect, the consensus evaluation approach is tailored regarding the direct and indirect feedback mechanisms to enhance the quality evaluation of candidate sustainable feedstocks under assessment criteria. Thereby, the weight of each criterion is determined based on the developed dynamic hesitant fuzzy entropy method and the candidate sustainable feedstocks are ranked with respect to developed dynamic hesitant fuzzy positive and negative ideal solutions. Then, a revised multi-choice goal programming model is extended regarding the dynamic hesitant fuzzy closeness indexes to attend to preferred compromise response of demand centers by optimum renewable products allocation. Meanwhile, the presented hybrid adaptive framework is implemented to a real case study to represent the applicability and efficiency of the proposed approach. Furthermore, a comparative analysis is provided by defining eight comparison indexes to compare the obtained results with two recent studies in relevant literature for representing the validation and verification of the proposed approach. The comparative analysis shows that the proposed approach versus the two other approaches has merits such as modeling of uncertainty, experts' weights, adaptive structure, unanimous agreement-based approach, and last aggregation framework. Finally, a sensitivity analysis is represented to show the sensitiveness and robustness of the obtained results from changing the criteria weights, goals values, and consensus elimination. Thereby, the sensitivity analysis indicates that the obtained ranking results are sensitive to sustainability criteria unlike the technical criterion.

RESUMO

Accidents involving falls and falling objects (group I) are highly frequent accidents in the construction industry. While being hit by a vehicle, electric shock, collapse in the excavation and fire or explosion accidents (group II) are much less frequent, they make up a considerable proportion of severe accidents. In this study, multiple-correspondence analysis, decision tree, ensembles of decision tree and association rules methods are employed to analyse a database of construction accidents throughout Iran between 2007 and 2011. The findings indicate that in group I, there is a significant correspondence among these variables: time of accident, place of accident, body part affected, final consequence of accident and lost workdays. Moreover, the frequency of accidents in the night shift is less than others, and the frequency of injury to the head, back, spine and limbs are more. In group II, the variables time of accident and body part affected are mostly related and the frequency of accidents among married and older workers is more than single and young workers. There was a higher frequency in the evening, night shifts and weekends. The results of this study are totally in line with the previous research.

RESUMO

This paper considers microarray gene expression data clustering using a novel two stage meta-heuristic algorithm based on the concept of α-planes in general type-2 fuzzy sets. The main aim of this research is to present a powerful data clustering approach capable of dealing with highly uncertain environments. In this regard, first, a new objective function using α-planes for general type-2 fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm is represented. Then, based on the philosophy of the meta-heuristic optimization framework 'Simulated Annealing', a two stage optimization algorithm is proposed. The first stage of the proposed approach is devoted to the annealing process accompanied by its proposed perturbation mechanisms. After termination of the first stage, its output is inserted to the second stage where it is checked with other possible local optima through a heuristic algorithm. The output of this stage is then re-entered to the first stage until no better solution is obtained. The proposed approach has been evaluated using several synthesized datasets and three microarray gene expression datasets. Extensive experiments demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed approach compared with some of the state-of-the-art techniques in the literature.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The present study aimed to investigate the characteristics of occupational accidents and frequency and severity of work related accidents in the construction industry among Iranian insured workers during the years 20072011. METHODS: The Iranian Social Security Organization (ISSO) accident database containing 21,864 cases between the years 2007-2011 was applied in this study. In the next step, Total Accident Rate (TRA), Total Severity Index (TSI), and Risk Factor (RF) were defined. The core of this work is devoted to analyzing the data from different perspectives such as age of workers, occupation and construction phase, day of the week, time of the day, seasonal analysis, regional considerations, type of accident, and body parts affected. RESULTS: Workers between 15-19 years old (TAR=13.4%) are almost six times more exposed to risk of accident than the average of all ages (TAR=2.51%). Laborers and structural workers (TAR=66.6%) and those working at heights (TAR=47.2%) experience more accidents than other groups of workers. Moreover, older workers over 65 years old (TSI=1.97%> average TSI=1.60%), work supervisors (TSI=12.20% >average TSI=9.09%), and night shift workers (TSI=1.89% >average TSI=1.47%) are more prone to severe accidents. CONCLUSION: It is recommended that laborers, young workers, weekend and night shift workers be supervised more carefully in the workplace. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be compulsory in working environments, and special attention should be undertaken to people working outdoors and at heights. It is also suggested that policymakers pay more attention to the improvement of safety conditions in deprived and cold western regions.

RESUMO

Asthma is a lung chronic inflammatory disorder estimated between 1.4% and 27.1% in different area of the world. Result of various studies show that asthma is usually underdiagnosed especially in developing countries, because of limitations on access to medical specialists and laboratory facilities. In this paper, we report on the development and evaluation of a novel patient-based fuzzy system that promotes the diagnosis method of asthma. The design of this application addresses five critical issues included: 1) modular representation of asthma diagnostic variables regard to patients' perception of the disease, 2) algorithmic approaches conducting inference of diagnosing based on patient's response to questions, 4) front-end mechanism for capturing data from patient, 5) output for both patient and physician regard to asthma possibility. for the system output score (0-10) the efficacy of this system calculated in the study sample included 139 asthmatic patients and 139 non-asthmatic patients (age range 6-18) reinforce the sensitivity of 88% and specificity of 100% for cut off value 0.7.
