RESUMO

The total activity of NO-synthase and content of stable metabolitic products of nitric oxide in the peripheral blood of rats under low doses of ionizing radiation and administration of natural polyphenol complex of grape was investigated. It was found that natural polyphenol compounds of grapes have the ability to correct radioinduced changes in L-arginine/NO system. It was noted that the action of X-radiation increased activity of NO-synthase in the peripheral blood of rats. However, the consumption of natural polyphenol complex of grape led to a decrease of this index to control values. An increase in NOS activity under irradiation leads to the increase of NO stable metabolites content, which is reflected in the accumulation of nitrite- and nitrate-anions in the peripheral blood of rats. The consumption of preparation of polyphenol complex this index decreased in the early period of the experiment, and on the third day after exposure, the total content of NO stable metabolites is slightly higher compared to the indices of control animals. Thus, the ability of natural polyphenol complex to cause attenuation of oxidative-nitrative stress caused by ionizing radiation was investigated experimentally.

RESUMO

The effects of agmatine on oxidative and nonoxidative metabolic pathways of L-arginine were investigated both in plasma and erythrocytes under experimental diabetes mellitus. It was indicated, that agmatine prevents the development of oxidative-nitrosative stress in diabetic rats. After treatment of animals by agmatine NO-synthase methabolic pathway of L-arginine is depressed whereas arginase one increases in erythrocytes of rats with experimental diabetes mellitus.

RESUMO

The enormous amount of hydrogen sulfide (up to 11 mg/ml) is present in the Yavoriv sulfur deposit reservoirs owing to sulfur reductive bacteria activity. As a consequence the ecological situation is badly affected and requires recovering. The biological H2S decomposition by photosynthetic sulfur bacteria, which use the hydrogen sulfide as electron donor during photosynthesis, can be one of the possible ways of this toxic substance destruction. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of photosynthetic pigments composition that derived from green photosynthesizing sulfur bacteria from reservoirs of Yavoriv sulfur deposit is carried out. It was fixed that Pelodictyon sp., Chlorobium sp. and isolated consortia "Pelochromatium sp." contain the bacteriochlorophyll c and d. All the isolated cultures contained bacteriochlorophyll a in trace amounts. The obtained photosynthetic pigments (bacteriochlorophylls, carotenoids) were recognized by their absorption spectra in the visible and far-red region and by their quantity. The difference was not essential. All investigated cultures of isolated bacteria contain some carotenoid the Chlorobium sp. and obtained consortia possesses isorenieratene. The absorption maxima of extracted pigments from young cultures of isolated green sulfur bacteria are more definitely displayed than those from old cultures. Investigations of phototrophic sulfur bacteria were carried out in Ukraine up to now. Ecological problem that occurred in the Yavoriv sulfur deposit as a result of the deposit exploitation caused a necessity of the investigation of photosynthetic sulfur bacteria and bacterial photosynthesis mechanism. The photosynthetic pigments nature identification will promote the fast and precise identification of the new forms of photosynthetic sulfur bacteria and will extend our knowledge about their role in the anoxygenic photosynthesis.

RESUMO

The increase of deoxyhemoglobin nitrite-reductase activity was established at streptozotocin-induced diabetes in rats. The deoxyhemoglobin nitrosilation in the streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats was shown to increase the optical density in the aromatic acid region and cause additional absorption peak at 334 nm. The two-week injection of nicotinamide causes reduction in the nitrite reductase activity of the deoxyhemoglobin and the absorption peak at 334 nm disappearance.

RESUMO

It was shown that carnosine changes the compacting of ferment's globe. On the one hand, that action is causes with the connecting of haem. On the other hand, carnosine influences on the hydrate's membrane around protein. Dipeptide influences also on the interaction of catalase with sodium nitrite, which intensity depends on sequence of introducing HNO2 and carnosine into the medium.

RESUMO

Spectral characteristics of ferri- and ferroderivatives of myoglobins have been studied in semiwater mammals. Extinction coefficients in the visible range of the spectrum have been determined for different derivatives of the studied heme proteins. It is established that variations in the maxima and minima of different absorption bands are inconsiderable. Close positions of isobestic points have been revealed for a system of oxyglobin and reduced myoglobin obtained from the muscles of the studied animals. Changes in spectral characteristics of methmyoglobins, induced by the effect of different pH, are identical, which evidences for similarity of the surroundings of active site of the studied heme proteins.
