RESUMO

The disease of cardiovascular system is one of the causes of invalidity and unfavorable outcomes. Together with such common diseases as rheumatism, hypertension, atherosclerosis that cause the development of cardiovascular insufficiency there are many other diseases including the infectious one that have rather unfavorable influence on the myocardium and vascular system. The disorders in cardiovascular functions at acute infectious diseases are noted frequently (80%) and closely connected with total pathogenesis of the disease. They influence the clinical course and outcomes of infectious process. Follow-up of the infectious patients and conduction of rational and especially intensive therapy require the wide functional control of cardiovascular state at different stages of the disease. The work shows our great experience in development of the problem of clinical-and-electrocardiographic investigations in infectious patients. The critical analysis of the problem condition today according to the literature data is presented. The material is based on the investigation of about 25 thousand patients treated in the clinic of infectious diseases of the Military Medical Academy for the last 30 years.

RESUMO

The article presents a short characteristic of the general therapeutic principles in intestinal diarrheal infections, the main of which are the following: early beginning, individual approach and complex therapy. Therapeutic schemes of the most frequent diseases are given. Special attention is paid to the great importance of rational bacterio-therapy in current treatment of acute intestinal diarrheal infections. Individual approach considers determination or supposition of disease etiology and clinical form before treatment, as well as evaluation of state pathogenesis taking into account the body physiologic specificity, severity and period of disease, possible complications and concomitant disease. Complex therapy supposes simultaneous effect on disease agent, several links of its pathogenesis, struggle with intoxication, restoration of the disturbed functions of organs and systems, increase in body defense, treatment of concomitant diseases.

RESUMO

The authors studied the information efficiency of stable-phased immunofermental analysis (IFA) in differential diagnosis of infectious diseases of respiratory system and pulmonary tuberculosis. IFA method was used on 60 infectious patients with non-tuberculous pathology, 64 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 200 donors. It was found out that the minimal diagnostical IFA titer in pulmonary tuberculosis was 1:320 (antibody revealing frequency--up to 89.2%; specificity--95%). IFA method with phosphatide antigen has a great practical significance in differential diagnosis of influenza, acute respiratory viral infections and pneumonias with pulmonary tuberculosis.

RESUMO

Hypoxia plays an important role in pathogenesis of infectious diseases. Therefore, its correction is an essential factor in pathogenetic antibacterial treatment. Hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) as a leading method in current antihypoxic therapy was studied in combined medication for typhoid, diphtheria, meningococcal infection, viral hepatitis. HBO sessions were given to 331 patients, 363 controls did not receive HBO. Utilization of HBO provided much better saturation of blood with oxygen, eliminated metabolic disorders, warranted favorable course and outcomes of the diseases.

RESUMO

On the basis of literature review the article makes an appreciation of various methods for tuberculosis serological diagnostics. The authors mark a high information level of immunofermental analysis (IFA). 126 tuberculosis patients, 122 patients with non-tuberculosis etiology and 410 donors were examined with the aid of IFA (phosphide antigen). The min. diagnostic titer in pulmonary tuberculosis is 1:320, in nonpulmonary--1:160. The max. antigen titers in IFA (optical density unit of measurement) were in the cases of disseminated tuberculosis 1.32 0.12; the min.--in uterine tube tuberculosis--0.92 0.08. The titers of donors were 0.20 0.03, and of patients with non-tuberculosis diseases--0.25 0.04. IFA is recommended for practical application in tuberculosis and infectious clinics.

RESUMO

Differential diagnosis of intestinal amebiasis (106 patients), acute Flexner's dysentery (105 patients) and nonspecific ulcerative colitis (31 patients) based on the clinical data and rectoromanoscopic findings is described. Rapidly and gradually progressing in the first 7 days intestinal amebiasis is characterized by a gradual onset, normal t0 with mounting general weakness, celiectasia, diarrhea with hyaloid mucus, focal catarrh-hemorrhagic changes and appearance of individual oval transversal ulcers on the colon mucosa.

RESUMO

Kanamycin concentration in the inflammatory foci was studied on experimental models of pneumonia, maxillary sinusitis and acute dysentery. The kanamycin levels in the sites of the pathogen localization were lower than those in the same tissues of healthy animals. The antibiotic dose should be chosen with the account of its concentration in the focus of the pathogen localization rather than in the blood serum.

RESUMO

The effect of hydrocortisone on kanamycin pharmacokinetics in rabbits treated with the drugs administered intramuscularly in two different syringes simultaneously and in one syringe was studied. When the drugs were administered in two different syringes, there were no changes in the antibiotic pharmacokinetics as compared to the control group, while administration of the drugs in one syringe resulted in decreased excretion of the antibiotic with urine and a significant increase of its levels in the blood, liquor and tissues.
