RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the toxic effects of microRNA-27a on breast cancer cells through inositol-acquiring enzyme 1-TNF receptor-associated factor 2 inhibition by mepivacaine. Methods: The elevation of miR-27a in MCF-7 of BCC lines was measured, and groups were set up as control, mepivacaine, and elevated groups. Cells from each group were examined for inflammatory progression. Results: Elevated miR-27a in MCF-7 cells was able to distinctly augment the cell advancement (P < 0.01) and decline cell progression (P < 0.01). Meanwhile, miR-27a reduced the content of intracellular inflammatory factors IL-1ß (P < 0.01) and IL-6 (P < 0.01), elevated the content of IL-10 (P < 0.01), suppressed levels of cleaved-caspase-3 and p-signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 (STAT3) (P < 0.01), and increased Bcl-2/Bax (P < 0.01). Conclusion: Elevated miR-27a in MCF-7 of BCC lineage was effective in reducing the toxic effects of mepivacaine on cells and enhancing cell progression. This mechanism is thought to be related to the activation of the IRE1-TRAF2 signaling pathway in BCC. The findings may provide a theoretical basis for targeted treatment of BC in clinical practice.

RESUMO

The heterogeneous Fenton-like reaction is an advanced oxidation process, which is widely recognized for its efficient removal of recalcitrant organic contaminants. In recent years, the construction of efficient and reusable heterogeneous Fenton-like catalysts has been extensively investigated. Recently, the use of bimetallic oxides and their complexes as catalysts for Fenton-like reaction has attracted intense attention due to their high catalytic performance and excellent stability over a wide pH range. In this article, the fundamental mechanisms of Fenton-like reactions were briefly introduced. The important reports on bimetallic oxides and their complexes are classified in detail, which are mainly divided into Fe-based and Fe-free bimetallic catalysts. We then focused in depth on the performance of their respective applications in Fenton-like reactions. Special consideration has been given to the respective contributions and synergistic mechanisms of the two metals in catalysts. Overall, it is concluded that synergistic effect of the two metals in the bimetallic catalyst can boost the utilization of hydrogen peroxide, provide adequate accessible active sites, which are all beneficial to improve catalytic performance. Finally, the current challenges in this field were proposed. Our review is expected to provide help for the application of bimetallic oxides and their complexes.

RESUMO

Objective: To explore the effects of programmed intermittent epidural bolus (PIEB) combined with patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) at different intervals on body temperature and serum CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 levels in parturient women receiving analgesia. STUDY DESIGN: Descriptive study. PLACE AND DURATION OF STUDY: The First Affiliated Hospital of Shaoyang University, China, from September 2018 to February 2020. METHODOLOGY: One hundred and seventy primiparous women, who had vaginal delivery and required labour analgesia, were randomly divided into Groups A and B (n=85 for each group). In both groups, PIEB plus PCEA mode was applied when cervical dilatation reached 2-3 cm. The interval was 30 minutes with a pulse dose of 5 mL in Group A; and 60 minutes with a pulse dose of 10 mL in Group B. Indicators related to body temperature and serum markers were compared in both the groups. RESULT: Maternal temperature in Group A was higher than that in Group B at the time of cervix being completely dilated, and 2 hours after delivery (both p <0.001). incidence of intrapartum fever in Group A was higher than that in Group B (p = 0.036). Epidural analgesic dosage, VAS score, serum CRP, TNF-α, and IL-6 levels in Group A were higher than those in Group B at two hours after delivery (all p <0.001). CONCLUSIONS: PIEB plus PCEA mode at regular intervals of 60 minutes can reduce epidural analgesic dosage and incidence of intrapartum fever during delivery, thus exerting better analgesic effects. Key Words:  Programmed intermittent epidural bolus (PIEB), Patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA), Delivery, Analgesia, Parturient, Body temperature.
