Introduction: User satisfaction plays a leading role, since it becomes the active censor to evaluate the quality of service. Objective: To determine the degree of satisfaction of users with urban family medical offices. Methods: A cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out as part of the research on organization and efficiency in health systems. The population consisted of the 8371 patients over 19 years of age from Norte Teaching Policlinic of Placetas Municipality in 2020. The sample, selected by stratified random sampling, consisted of 124 subjects with prior informed consent. Results: The sample was dominated by the age group older than sixty years (42.7 percent), the female sex (78.2 percent), the senior high school level (52.4 percent), as well as the presence of chronic disease (65.3 percent). The Cramer's V contingency coefficient showed that satisfaction is not related to the presence of any chronic disease, which is partially correlated with structural conditions and information for patients. Pearson's correlation showed partial correlation with aspects of medical care, except long waiting time and respect for religious beliefs. Conclusions: Users of urban family medical offices are generally satisfied, such satisfaction depending on structural conditions, adequate information for patients, and aspects related to medical care(AU)

RESUMO

Joy99 is a siphoviral mycobacteriophage with a 59,837-base pair double-stranded DNA genome and is predicted to contain 97 protein-coding genes and a single tRNA gene. Joy99 was isolated in Saint Louis, MO, and annotated by students at Bluff Dale High School in community engagement with Tarleton State University.

Introduction: Satisfaction is much more than a human aspiration; it is an instrument and a function to achieve excellence in quality of health care. Objective: To determine the level of occupational satisfaction of family doctors. Methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out at Norte [North] Teaching Polyclinic of Placetas Municipality in 2019. The study population was made up of the 18 family doctors of the polyclinic, by nonprobabilistic sampling, casuistically deliberate based on the fact that there is no contact due to difficult access, the sample was made up of 15, with the willingness to participate as inclusion criterion. Results: Health services (93.3 percent) and privacy of the consultation (73.3 percent) predominated as unsuitable structural conditions; together with the office furniture and the waiting room (86.6 percent) as the so-called unsuitable occupational conditions; of the elements related to diagnosis and treatment, all were not adequate; of the subjective factors, the most referred to was stress (93.3 percent); and regarding degree of satisfaction, the category least satisfied (80 percent) predominated. Conclusions: There is little occupational satisfaction of the doctors of the Norte [North] Teaching Polyclinic of Placetas Municipality, determined by a set of interrelated factors(AU)

RESUMO

Mycobacteriophage Arlo is a newly isolated Siphoviridae bacteriophage isolated from soil samples collected in Bluff Dale, Texas. Mycobacteriophage Arlo has a 52,960 base-pair double-stranded DNA genome that is predicted to contain 96 protein-coding genes. Mycobacteriophage Arlo is related to mycobacteriophage DD5 and other cluster A1 bacteriophages.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: T lymphocytes are not infected by dengue virus (DENV), nevertheless it is possible that exposure to DENV may affect their function. T lymphocytes from DENV-infected individuals are impaired in their proliferative capacity, although this effect has been attributed to altered function of antigen-presenting cells rather than to an intrinsic defect on T lymphocytes. Here we analyzed whether T lymphocytes from healthy donors became impaired in their proliferative capacity following in vitro exposure to DENV serotype-2 (DENV-2), as well as the possible mechanisms for this. METHODS: Isolated CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes from healthy donors were in vitro exposed to DENV-2, before polyclonal activation, cell proliferation, IL-2 synthesis. IL-2Rα expression, nuclear translocation of NF-AT and NF-κB, and intracellular calcium flux were assessed. RESULTS: In vitro exposure of both CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes from healthy donors to DENV-2 impairs cell proliferation, IL-2 synthesis, and IL-2Rα (CD25) cell membrane expression. Signalling wise, exposure to DENV-2 impairs the nuclear translocation of NF-AT, downstream of intracellular calcium mobilization, as well as that of NF-κB. CONCLUSION: In the course of a dengue infection, direct exposure of T lymphocytes to DENV could affect cell-mediated immune responses.
