RESUMO

Alday and Maldacena conjectured an equivalence between string amplitudes in AdS_{5}×S^{5} and null polygonal Wilson loops in planar N=4 super-Yang-Mills (SYM) theory. At strong coupling this identifies SYM amplitudes with areas of minimal surfaces in anti-de Sitter space. For minimal surfaces in AdS_{3}, we find that the nontrivial part of these amplitudes, the remainder function, satisfies an integrable system of nonlinear differential equations, and we give its Lax form. The result follows from a new perspective on "Y systems," which defines a new psuedo-hyper-Kähler structure directly on the space of kinematic data, via a natural twistor space defined by the Y-system equations. The remainder function is the (pseudo-)Kähler scalar for this geometry. This connection to pseudo-hyper-Kähler geometry and its twistor theory provides a new ingredient for extending recent conjectures for nonperturbative amplitudes using structures arising at strong coupling.

RESUMO

We bootstrap the symbol of the maximal-helicity-violating four-particle form factor for the chiral part of the stress-tensor supermultiplet in planar N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory at two loops. When minimally normalized, this symbol involves only 34 letters and obeys the extended Steinmann relations in all partially overlapping three-particle momentum channels. In addition, the remainder function for this form factor exhibits an antipodal self-duality: It is invariant under the combined operation of the antipodal map defined on multiple polylogarithms-which reverses the order of the symbol letters-and a simple kinematic map. This self-duality holds on a four-dimensional parity-preserving kinematic hypersurface. It implies the antipodal duality recently noticed between the three-particle form factor and the six-particle amplitude in this theory.

RESUMO

We observe that the three-gluon form factor of the chiral part of the stress-tensor multiplet in planar N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory is dual to the six-gluon MHV amplitude on its parity-preserving surface. Up to a simple variable substitution, the map between these two quantities is given by the antipode operation defined on polylogarithms (as part of their Hopf algebra structure), which acts at symbol level by reversing the order of letters in each term. We provide evidence for this duality through seven loops.

RESUMO

We conjecture a new set of analytic relations for scattering amplitudes in planar N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. They generalize the Steinmann relations and are expressed in terms of the cluster algebras associated to Gr(4,n). In terms of the symbol, they dictate which letters can appear consecutively. We study heptagon amplitudes and integrals in detail and present symbols for previously unknown integrals at two and three loops which support our conjecture.

RESUMO

We introduce a family of new integrable quantum field theories in four dimensions by considering the γ-deformed N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) theory in the double scaling limit of large imaginary twists and small coupling. This limit discards the gauge fields and retains only certain Yukawa and scalar interactions with three arbitrary effective couplings. In the 't Hooft limit, these 4D theories are integrable, and contain a wealth of conformal correlators such that the whole arsenal of AdS/CFT integrability remains applicable. As a special case of these models, we obtain a quantum field theory of two complex scalars with a chiral, quartic interaction. The Berenstein-Maldacena-Nastase vacuum anomalous dimension is dominated in each loop order by a single "wheel" graph, whose bulk represents an integrable "fishnet" graph. This explicitly demonstrates the all-loop integrability of gamma-deformed planar N=4 SYM theory, at least in our limit. Using this feature and integrability results we provide an explicit conjecture for the periods of double-wheel graphs with an arbitrary number of spokes in terms of multiple zeta values of limited depth.
