RESUMO
The authors present data on studies of work conditions of female workers engaged into ore-dressing and processing enterprise, occurrence of gynecologic diseases, and results of retrospective analysis of pregnancy and delivery course over 2001-2010. Findings are that work conditions in the industry increase gynecologic diseases risk and complications rate during pregnancy and delivery.

The article presents results obtained in study of relationship between polymorph variants of CYP1A1 and CYP1A2 genes with reproductive and thyroid diseases risk in female workers of petrochemical industry, when compared with reference group females. Variants TD and DD of CYP1A2 gene appeared to be associated with nodes formation in uterus and breast in female workers and reference group females. Following liability markers are obtained: homozygous in rare allele genotype CC of CYP1A1 gene for reproductive and thyroid diseaes (fibrous cystic mastopathy and nodular goitre), heterozygous genotype AG of CYP1A1 gene in uterine myoma and fibrous cystic mastopathy, homozygous in deleted T genotype of CYP1A2 gene in autoimmune thyroiditis. Occupational hazards and long length of service at hazardous industries increase effects of rare alleles of the genes studied.

The article presents results of analysis of social and hygienic factors for health state in female poultry workers of Bashkortostan Republic, obtained through polling in 179 female workers. Findings are that most of the female poultry workers' lifestyle includes factors with unfavorable influence on their health state: no possibility of adequate rest after the work (66.7%) because of involvement into household activities; using vacations for work for personal farming (85.3%); unbalanced nutrition (36.4%); alcohol intake (78.6%); unavailable sanatorium-and-spa treatment (94%).

The paper gives the basic results of studying the polymorphic loci of the genes of xenobiotic transformation enzymes, antioxidative defense, and DNA repair in petrochemical workers. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism assay was used to identify markers of the predisposition to the development of toxic hepatitis in men and impaired reproduction in women.

The article describes activities of Bashkortostan Center for Occupational Diseases for 14 years since its foundation. The article analyses occupational morbidity in Bashkortostan in connection with the industries, according to various entities and defines some prospective goals for the Center's research.

Women working at oil-processing enterprises are exposed to a group of toxic chemicals and influenced by some social and everyday factors. The women demonstrate functional disorders of nervous, cardiovascular systems, disturbances in menstrual and child-bearing functions. Occupational factors influence course of pregnancy, delivery and state of newborn.
