Activated carbon FAS/Pt and membrane GOMPOD do not deteriorate water quality under its purification. Mineralisator MP-UK in general does not deteriorate water quality. All the studied materials were recommended for treatment and conditioning of water in space apparatuses.

[Hygienic study of an activated fibrous charcoal material as a sorbing filtering element for drinking water afterpurification]. / Gigienicheskoe izuchenie aktivirovannogo uglerodnogo voloknistogo materiala v sostave sorbiruiushchego fil'truiushchego élementa dlia doochistki pit'evoi vody.

The results of complex toxicological and hygienic study showed that the quality of pipe water filtered through the activated carbonic fibrous material (ACFM) "Dnepr-F" forming a part of absorptive filtering element improved markedly. The content of organic substances decreased drastically as well as that of nitrates and iron. Microbiological indices did not suffer appreciable changes and were within permissible limits. The water filtered through the absorptive element with ACFM had no adverse influence on the organisms of warm-blooded animals. Proceeding from foregoing one can conclude that the "Dnepr-F" may be recommended as a part of absorptive filtering element for the final refinement of drinking water.

[The hygienic evaluation of an aerosol-gas mixture as a preservative of potable water]. / Gigienicheskaia otsenka aérozol'no-gazovoi smesi kak konservanta pit'evoi vody.

Complex hygienic assessment of the aerosol-gas method for the drinking water conservation demonstrated no significant effects on white rats in toxicological and genetical experiments. The method was recommended for long-term conservation of the drinking water in steel tanks.

[The hygienic assessment of D-51A rubber and the conditions for its practical use in household drinking water supply]. / Gigienicheskaia otsenka reziny D-51A i usloviia ee ispol'zovaniia v praktike khoziaistvenno-pit'evogo vodosnabzhenii.

Rubber D-51A under examination, treated by thiuram, following long-time contact with drinking water (static conditions of the experiment) discharges thiuram into it, which significantly worsens the water quality. Drinking of this water by animals leads to functional disturbances in their organisms. Short-time contact of rubber D-51A with drinking water does not cause deterioration of its quality. Therefore rubber D-51A can be recommended to be used as pump gaskets.

[Hygienic evaluation of hydrophobic turgid Perlite and the materials of powder composition used in water supply systems]. / Gigienicheskaia otsenka gidrofobnogo vspuchennogo perlita i izdenii iz poroshkovoi kompozitsii, ispo'lzuemykh v vodo- snabzhenii.

Sanitary, hygienic, toxicologic, pathomorphologic and genetic studies revealed that hydrophobic pearlites g A-1 and g A-2 and the material from powder composition of the brand of zh g p1, 5 d 2.5 had no unfavourable effect on physicochemical water characteristics, warm-blooded animals and poorly organized organisms. Hydrophobic pearlites were recommended for application in water reservoirs for the removal of petroleum films and the material from powder composition of the above brand for manufacturing cocks, sleeves, showers and other devices for water supply systems used for economic and drinking purposes.
