RESUMO

Flag leaf senescence is a critical factor affecting the yield and quality of wheat. The aim of this study was to identify QTLs associated with flag leaf senescence in an F10 recombinant inbred line population derived from durum wheats UC1113 and Kofa. Bulked segregant analysis using the wheat 660K SNP array identified 3225 SNPs between extreme-phenotype bulks, and the differential SNPs were mainly clustered on chromosomes 1A, 1B, 3B, 5A, 5B, and 7A. BSR-Seq indicated that the significant SNPs were mainly located in two intervals of 354.0-389.0 Mb and 8.0-15.0 Mb on 1B and 3B, respectively. Based on the distribution of significant SNPs on chromosomes 1B and 3B, a total of 109 insertion/deletion (InDel) markers were developed, and 8 of them were finally used to map QTL in UC1113/Kofa population for flag leaf senescence. Inclusive composite interval mapping identified two major QTL in marker intervals Mar2005-Mar2116 and Mar207-Mar289, explaining 14.2-15.4% and 31.4-68.6% of the phenotypic variances across environments, respectively. Using BSR-Seq, gene expression and sequence analysis, the TraesCS1B02G211600 and TraesCS3B02G023000 were identified as candidate senescence-associated genes. This study has potential to be used in cloning key genes for flag leaf senescence and provides available molecular markers for genotyping and marker-assisted selection breeding. RESUMO

Aggression among adolescents is a significant public health concern worldwide. To safeguard adolescents' physical and mental health, controlling the incidence of aggressive behavior and its triggers and drivers is necessary. Different risk factors in each environment drive adolescent aggression. These factors are interconnected, making the environment an ecosystem of aggression. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence adolescents' aggressive behavior and provide a basis for formulating measures to reduce such behavior in the future. This multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted in five middle schools in Lingbao City. The participants were junior high school students aged 11-15 years. Data were analyzed from January to March 2020 using the decision tree analysis method. The aggressive behavior scale, adolescent emotion regulation scale, family intimacy and adaptation scale, parental education participation scale, and a simple parenting style questionnaire were used for the investigation. Of the 581 participants, 25.5% demonstrated a tendency for aggressive behavior, while the remaining did not. The decision tree analysis showed that the incidence of adolescent aggression was the highest (54.8%) when the maternal overprotective score was greater than or equal to 17, the adolescent had low emotional control, and the mother's intelligence score was higher than 30. The decision tree model reflects the influencing factors of adolescent aggressive behavior from multiple levels and provides a reference for formulating effective intervention measures to control such behavior and its influencing factors.

RESUMO

In this work, in situ growth of a titanium dioxide microplug (TDMP) having mesoporous channels at the tip of a glass micropipette induced by space-confined evaporation is reported. Moreover, clear ion current rectification (ICR) of a single-material nanopore in a saturated potassium chloride solution is observed for the first time. TDMP presents an asymmetrical channel structure with the top and bottom apertures of 12.3 ± 6.1 and 42.6 ± 19.7 nm, respectively. TDMP exhibits outstanding ICR capability as the ions get transported through it due to the applied potential. The values for the rectification coefficient (r = log2|I+1 V/I-1 V|) in a saturated KCl solution under acidic (pH of 3.0) and alkaline (pH of 10.0) environments are 1.32 and -0.84, respectively. The intensity and direction of ICR can be adjusted by pH or through the modification of citric acid. Meanwhile, the length and ion transport behavior of TDMP under different growth conditions (time and diameter) were also investigated. TDMP with asymmetric mesoporous channels, maintaining ICR in a saturated salt solution, is expected to expand the application of nanopores in high-salt environments. Furthermore, growth of mesoporous material in the micropipette facilitates the miniaturization of the nanopore device, which further promotes its application potential.

RESUMO

The accurate treatment of tumors with the help of multimodality imaging is of great significance. Herein, a novel multifunctional probe combining active targeted fluorescent imaging (FL)/photoacoustic imaging (PA) and chemo-photothermal therapy for tumors has been designed. Targeting molecule folate (FA) modified graphene oxide (GO) was used to coat core-shell silver sulfide@mesoporous silica (QD@Si) while antitumoral doxorubicin (DOX) was loaded in mesoporous channels by electrostatic adhesion, and a delivery system (QD@Si-D/GO-FA) for active targeted dual-mode imaging and synergistic chemo-photothermal for tumors was successfully obtained. Experiments showed the cell survival rate was 76.3 ± 4.6% when the probe concentration reached 0.5 mg mL-1, and demonstrated that the probe had good biocompatibility. In vivo and in vitro results indicated that this probe could be used for active targeted FL/PA for tumors with overexpressed FA receptors. The temperature of the tumor rose to 63.5 °C under laser irradiation, and the tumor could be killed more effectively after combination with chemotherapy, which was caused by exfoliation of GO from QD@Si-D/GO-FA after irradiation. These results showed that the probe had great potential for application in oncology and is expected to provide evidence for early diagnosis and treatment of tumors.

RESUMO

As one of the most interesting naturally-occurring geometries, micro-helical structures have attracted attention due to their potential applications in fabricating biomedical and microelectronic devices. Conventional processing techniques for manufacturing micro-helices are likely to be limited in cost and mass-productivity, while Spirulina, which shows natural fine micro-helical forms, can be easily mass-reproduced at an extremely low cost. Furthermore, considering the extensive utility of conducting polymers, it is intriguing to synthesize conducting polymer micro-helices. In this study, PPy (polypyrrole), PANI (polyaniline), and PEDOT (poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)) micro-helices were fabricated using Spirulinaplatensis as a bio-template. The successful formations of the conducting polymer micro-helix were confirmed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Raman and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were employed to characterize the molecular structures of the conducting polymer in micro-helical forms. In the electrochemical characterization, the optimized specific capacitances for the PPy micro-helix, the PANI micro-helix, and the PEDOT micro-helix were found to be 234 F/g, 238 F/g at the scan rate of 5 mV/s, and 106.4 F/g at the scan rate of 10 mV/s, respectively. Therefore, it could be expected that other conducting polymer micro-helices with Spirulina as a bio-template could be also easily synthesized for various applications.
