RESUMO

A 22-year-old male patient presented with multiple swellings over elbows and knees and a sinus over the right elbow discharging chalky white material. Skin biopsy of the swelling demonstrated calcium deposition in dermis and subcutis. There was no evidence of connective tissue disorder or abnormal mineral metabolism. Hence it was concluded as idiopathic calcinosis cutis and is reported for its interesting presentation.

RESUMO

Focal dermal hypoplasia is a rare developmental disorder affecting skin, eyes, teeth, and musculoskeletal system. Focal dermal hypoplasia is transmitted as an X-linked dominant disorder but rare male cases occur due to half chromatid mutations. We report on a male child with focal dermal hypoplasia with skin and eye defects. Association of porencephalic cyst in the brain is also reported.

RESUMO

Mudi-chood is an unusual dermatosis seen in India. It affects the nape of the neck and the exposed part of the upper back in girls and young women. It is characterized by mildly pruritic pigmented papular lesions. It probably represents the comedogenic activity of various oils applied to the hair, which is aggravated by the typical climatic conditions. We present three cases of mudi-chood.
