RESUMO
The paper summarizes an experience gained in organizing a preventive fluorographic screening (PFC) of the rural population for pulmonary tuberculosis. The analysis of the tuberculosis detection in different groups of the rural population by PFC covering all the inhabitants proves the advisability of such a screening. It seems necessary to improve the classification of the populations into groups facing different risk factors for tuberculosis and to form, in particular, a special risk group of those with antisocial behaviour.

A study is presented of 245 patients with unspecific inflammatory pulmonary diseases (124 men, 121 women): with chronic bronchitis--39, chronic bronchitis and pneumonia at the phase of incomplete remission, bronchial asthma--107, convalescents--51. They were treated in out-patient conditions. Routine treatment methods were supplemented by different methods of treatment of the obstructive syndrome (blood transfusion, electrotherapy on the chest region, pyrogenal, electrophoresis with honey, etc.). This supplementary treatment of the obstructive syndrome in inflammatory unspecific pulmonary diseases essentially improved the treatment efficacy.

Roentgenpneumopolygraphy (RPPG) was used to examine 48 patients with bronchial asthma and all patients showed a reduction of one or several indices of zonal ventilation and/or biomechanics of the respiratory act. Inhalation of broncholytics improved all indices of RPPG. But most patients revealed local disorders of ventilation resistant to the effect of broncholytic agents. Local therapy of the corresponding lung regions produced a positive effect.
