RESUMO
A propagator that expresses the change in modulation transfer function with the optical path is defined for a wide angle scatterer medium. The expression compares favorably with moiré deflectometer measurements on colloidal suspensions of various concentrations.
RESUMO
The effect of using a sinusoidal grating instead of a Ronchi ruling as the object grating in moiré deflectometry is discussed and demonstrated. The method reduces the diffraction blur, which hinders the use of the conventional moiré deflectometer for objects of locally varying focal lengths. The technique combines most of the advantages of moiré deflectometry and shearing interferometry.
RESUMO
Mapping of temperature of a premixed hydrogen-oxygen flame by moire deflectometry is demonstrated. The technique is based on deflection mapping of rays from a collimated light beam due to gradients of the refractive index across the flame. For an axially symmetric flame the radial distribution of the refractive index was derived by Abel transformation. The temperature profile of the flame was calculated for a known gas composition assuming ideal gas behavior.
