RESUMO

Multiple studies have shown that E2 conjugating enzyme family are dysregulated in various cancers and associated with tumor progression and poor prognosis. In present study, we screened and confirmed that UBE2S is one of the E2 conjugating enzymes highly expressed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and it plays an oncogenic role by enhancing cell proliferation, migration and stemness in vitro. Using immunoprecipitation technology combined with mass spectrometry assay, we identified ribosomal protein RPL26 as the substrate protein of UBE2S in NSCLC. At the molecular level, overexpression of UBE2S accelerated the ubiquitination and degradation of RPL26, thus upregulating c-Myc to enhance the progression of NSCLC. In addition, the results of a xenograft experiment showed that inhibiting UBE2S could suppress RPL26-c-Myc mediated NSCLC tumor growth in vivo. Our data provided mechanistic evidence supporting the existence of a novel UBE2S-RPL26-c-Myc axis and its critical contribution to progression of NSCLC.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To evaluate the clinical results of maxillary sinus floor elevation technique with bone condensers on implantation. METHODS: 104 patients underwent maxillary sinus floor elevation and 126 implants were inserted and restored. Clinical examination and radiographs were conducted. Spiral CT scanning and three-dimensional reconstruction was performed among 30 cases during follow-up. RESULTS: All the patients with 9.16 mm (5-11 mm) height of residual bone in the posterior maxilla underwent sinus floor elevation with simultaneous implant placement using bone condensers. The elevation height was 2-6 mm. The follow-up time was 16-82 months. No sinus complication was observed during the follow-up period. The survival rate was 100%. Spiral CT scanning and three-dimensional reconstruction showed that dental implants were submerged in the alveoli around, their tops were covered with bone. CONCLUSIONS: With bone condensers, maxillary sinus floor elevation with simultaneous placement of implants from the top of alveoli was a predictable and safe technique. There were no implants loose or lost, no clinical complaint of maxillary sinus area, and X-ray examination showed well osseointegration.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study applied anatomy of adult mandibular ramus and condyle. METHODS: Observation and measurement were made on 16 adult mandibular rami and condyles. RESULTS: Thickness became gradually greater within 15 mm from the back edge of ramus. Some adult mandibular rami had no spongy bone at the level of 10 mm above mandibular foramen. CONCLUSIONS: These date are very important for application of lag screw osteosynthesis in condylar fracture.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to rebuild the anatomic structures of the mandibular bone and the canal, and to testify the reliability of the rebuilt model. METHODS: 15 mandibular bones with teeth are chosen, and a three-dimensional model was built with the method of CT. The slices vertical to the compensating curve were made in every dental position. Then the authors collected the data of alveoli and mandibular canal in every slice. The same work was done to the bone specimen, and then comparative analysis was done. RESULTS: The wideness of the alveoli and 10 mm bellow increased from mesial to distal position. It was the same of the alveoli from the top to the bottom. The mandibular canal lied in the inner and inferior side of the mandibular body. There was no significant difference in data collected with these two methods. CONCLUSION: Different types of dental implants should be chosen according to the anatomic characteristic of the mandibular bone in every dental position before the operation to avoid complications. And a reliable, accurate and direct method of planning an implant operation is to rebuild a three-dimensional model.
