[Hygienic assessment of projects on better organization of pupils' nutrition].

The paper deals with the hygienic bases of experimental projects for improving the organization of school nutrition. The purpose of the designs was to make a systematic monitoring of the successive implementation of all stages of regional integrated programs on healthy school nutrition. Today's school nutrition problems and ways of their resolution are outlined. A concept of schoolchildren's health monitoring in the implementation of experimental projects is presented. Methods and groups of parameters on which schoolchildren's health monitoring will be based are described.

[Zinc and copper blood plasma and erythrocyte value in adolescent with the different types of pathology].

Comparative analysis the value of the cation of zinc and copper in the blood plasma and erythrocytes were performed in the different diseases in children and adolescent. The patients with bronchopulmonary diseases, liver diseases, low cardiovascular malformation and growth inhibition were examined. Increase the value of the intracellular zinc and copper was detected in patients with the definite bronchopulmonary diseases, which can on the one hand, reflected the activation of the antioxidant protection system and by another hand, reflected destructive metalloproteinase. Decrease the value of the intracellular copper in bronchopulmonary patients with the lung emphysema and Kartagnera syndrome indicate about the falure of the compensatory reactions and needs the additional investigation. It was detected that copper content in the blood plasma and the copper accumulation in erythrocyte were decrease in patients with liver diseases in comparison with the health children. The increase of copper value in erythrocyte in children with low cardiovascular malformation was detected and need the additional investigation. In children with the growth inhibition was detected appreciable decrease the value of the free zinc and copper ions in erythrocytes and copper in the blood plasma, which can explained the physical developmental lagging.

[The informative value of determination of the cytological status of nasal and oral mucosae in the assessment of the quality of water].

The nasal and oral mucosal cytological status was studied in children of a control kindergarten who used boiled Moscow tap water and in those of two experimental kindergartens who had drunk bottled "Troitsa" water supplemented by a fortified "Zolotoy Shar" drink for 6 months. Impression smears were taken from their nasal and oral mucosae twice: before and 6 months after water use. The data presented indicate that the use of the water of improved quality in its trace and vitamin contents may be used in preventive and rehabilitative medicine as it leads to improvement of the nasal and oral cytological status, by normalizing and/or positively affecting the latter.

The article looks at the problem of the improvement of medical aid for children and emphasizes the importance of the transference of medical attendance. It gives a detailed account of the subject of the school age children nutrition and the possibility of the correction and dietary rehabilitation of children alimentary dependent states.

[Role of polyunsaturated fatty acids in diet therapy of children with allergic diseases]. / Rol' polinenasyshchennykh zhirnykh kislot v lechebnom pitanii detei s allergicheskimi zabolevaniiami.

135 pediatric patients receiving hypoallergic diet were included into the study group. The control group consisted of 20 children. The impact of PUFA omega-3 biologically active supplements (polyen, prima-Oil) was studied in hypoallergic rations. Biochemical indices were simultaneously investigated. The revealed dynamic changes of fatty acid spectrum in plasma and red cell membranes, cellular and humoral immunity status and eicosanoids synthesis were followed by positive clinical changes. Diets enriched with biologically active supplementation (PUPA omega-3) can be recommended for application in pediatric practice.

[Use of the fish oil "Polyen" in pediatric practice]. / Opyt primeneniia ryb'ego zhira "polien" v pediatricheskoi praktike.

The effects of supplementation of basic diets with 'Polyen' in daily doses of 2.5-4.0 g during 30-40 days together with antioxidants were studied in patients with kidney diseases (diet No7, n = 14), different allergies (hypoallergenic diet, n = 37) and in control children (n = 12). It was shown positive dynamics in fatty acid contents in plasma and red blood cell membranes, in humoral and cell immunity indicators and in improving of clinical symptoms of diseases. 'Polyen' is recommended for wide use in pediatric practice.
