RESUMO

The significance of a law-making process is substantially increasing under the conditions of intensified expansion of the scope of standard legal regulation in the field of human health care in the Russian Federation. The authors state that any law-making process should begin with the definition of the subject-matter of a future law, its role and value in medical law creation and also indicate that the choice of the subject-matter of a future law is of priority and the most important stage of its preparation from the points of both contents-rich and standard legal views. Moreover, the paper presents main groups of issues that can determine the subjects of sociomedical laws and states the basic rules how reflect systemic relations in legislation. The paper shows it important to create a code of laws in the field of health protection for legal assurance of health public reforms.

RESUMO

In order to evaluate the effects of gravity on growing plants, we conducted ground-based long-term experiments with dwarf wheat (cultivar "Apogee USU") and Chinese cabbage (cultivar "Khibinskaja"). The test crop had been grown in overhead position with HPS lamp below the root module so that gravity and light gradients were in opposite direction. Plants of the control crop grew in normal position under the same lamp. Both crops were grown on porous metallic membranes with stable--1 kPa water potential on the surface. Results from these studies allowed us to examine the significant differences in growth and development of the plants as well as the root systems in relation to the gravity force. Nevertheless, the experiments in greenhouse Svet aboard the Mir space station proved that it is possible to compensate the effects of weightlessness on higher plants by manipulating gradients of environmental parameters (i.e. photon flux, water potential in the root zone, etc.). Even in ground studies Svet productivity averaged no more than 14 gm of fresh salad biomass per a day. This does not provide a sufficient supplement nutrients to the ISS crew. A cylindrical design of a space plant growth facility (SPGF) allows for maximal productivity under very tight energy and volume limitations onboard the ISS and a number of operational advantages.

RESUMO

Sea water and krill obtained in the Pacific and Indian sectors of the Antarctic were examined in the warm seasons during krill stocking up. The results of studying microflora in the course of stocking up and storage of the boiled-frozen meat of krill are described. The time course of changes in the microflora as affected by the technological process and the most characteristic sources of microbial contamination of the raw material and semifinished product are defined. The quality of the finished product was assessed from the bacteriological parameters.

Examinations of 882 samples of newly caught, frozen, salted, sun-dried and smoked marine fish and of 50 samples of canned fish and preserves were conducted to study the contamination with halophil vibrios of the marine fish and fish products. The newly caught fish was found to be contaminated with Vibrio parahaemolyticus on the average in 28.6 per cent of the cases and with Vibrio alginolyitcus, on the average in 52.2 per cent of the instances. The Vibrio parahaemolyticus contamination of the marine fish during its processing and storage varied from 3.3 up to 21.7 per cent. The contamination of the fish was noted to be greatest in summer months. These microorganisms were not isolated in canned fish and preserves. In the course of research a total of 845 strains of halophil microorganisms were isolated, 240 of which were found to be similar to Vibrio parahaemolyticus. The properties of the cultures isolated were studied.
