[The influence of the efferent and quantum methods of treatment on endotoxemia pathogenetical factors, the course and outcome of burns]. / Vliianie éfferentnykh i kvantovykh metodov lecheniia na faktory patogeneza éndotoksemii, techenie i iskhod ozhogovoi bolezni.

There were observed 424 injured persons with severe and extremely severe burn and endotoxemia of a high degree. In 176 of them (the main group) for the purpose of additional nonspecific detoxication were applied an efferent and quantum methods: plasmapheresis, indirect electrochemical oxidation of blood, the laser and ultraviolet irradiation of blood. In the main group 23.3% of patients died and in a control one--62.5%. It was noted the reduce of the most severe complication of the burn disease--sepsis (an early one--in 5 times and a late one--in 1.5 times). The survival index in the main group while the sepsis had appeared was three times higher than in a control one.

The recombinant strain of Methylobacillus flagellatum with the cloned synthesis gene Cry 4B of the toxic Bac. thuringiensis var. israelensis protein proved to be effective against larvae of the Anopheles stephensi, An. atroparvus, An. pulcherrimus, An. superpictus, and An. sacharovi cultured in the laboratory. The use of M. flagellatum in combination with T. pyriformis may greatly expand the scope of use of the recombinant strain to control malaria mosquito larvae. Their combined use shows a 6-fold increase in the rate of strain action and a 4-fold decrease in the concentration of the agent. The optimum effects are shown following 24-hour combined intubation of M. flagellatum and Tetrahymena pyriformis.

[Intensive therapy in burns and carbon monoxide poisoning]. / Intensivnaia terapiia pri ozhogakh i otravlenii okis'iu ugleroda.

While treatment conduction of 38 patients with severe burns and poisoning with carbonic oxide in complex of antishock measures there was applied a nondirect electrochemical oxidation of blood and internal laser irradiation of blood. There was used He-Nd laser. The mortality lowering by 3.3 times in comparison with 40 patients, in whom the traditional intensive therapy was applied, was noted.

[A method for improvement of blood circulation in composite grafts in the preventive and reconstructive surgery of burns]. / Metodika uluchsheniia krovoobrashcheniia v slozhnykh transplantatakh v preventivnoi i rekonstruktivnoi khirurgii ozhogov.

In 58 patients after performance of plasty with fatty-cutaneous and fasciocutaneous grafts, the state of circulation in the flaps was studied. The level of ischemic disorders was defined. The medicamentous complexes contributing to improvement of circulation in the grafts are suggested.

[Specifics of dermotensive skin reconstruction in children]. / Osobennosti dermotenzionnoi plastiki u detei.

The technique of dermotension, peculiarities and expediency of its use in postburn and mechanical skin deformation in 50 children ranging in age from 2 to 14 years are described. It is expedient to perform operative elimination of the postburn alopecia, severe contracture of the neck, cicatricial bandage of the chest and abdomen by means of the dermotensive flaps. This permits to reduce a number of operative steps, create a sufficient reserve of healthy tissue identical to the lost one both in texture and in colour. Dermotension has the advantages over the pediculate plasty and can be widely used in children with the burn sequelae.

[The pathophysiologic characteristics of skin flaps prepared experimentally by the method of dermotension]. / Patofiziologicheskie osobennosti kozhnykh loskutov, poluchennykh metodom dermotenzii v eksperimente.

The pathophysiological peculiarities (contractility, resistance to ischemia, vascularization) of the plastic material obtained by the method of dermotension in the experiment on pigs were studied. On the basis of the obtained results, the indications for clinical use and a method have been formulated.
