RESUMO
We evaluate the impact of Power-over-Fiber (PoF) technology on the fronthaul of a 5G-NR network with an Analog-Radio-over-Fiber at 25.5 GHz on a 10 km long multicore fiber. The study in this Letter analyzes the bit error rate (BER) performance for different levels of energy transmitted by the PoF system. 133 mW of maximum optical power at reception is demonstrated showing negligible BER impact or data transmission BER improvement in a dedicated and shared scenario.
RESUMO
The purpose of this study is to review the available literature related to composite inlays. Electronic databases published up to November 2013 were searched. Studies that evaluate composite resin inlays for the restoration of posterior teeth were selected. The studies should compare composite inlays against gold inlays, ceramic inlays and direct composite fillings regarding longevity, aesthetic quality and postoperative sensitivity or comparing the clinical effectiveness of them on premolars versus molars or on 1-2 surface preparations versus multi-surface preparations. Despite the heterogeneity of the available clinical trials composite inlays seem to be an effective method for the restoration of posterior teeth.

The oral nucleoside analogue lamivudine has been effectively used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. However, there is limited data concerning the efficacy and safety of lamivudine in patients with severe acute or fulminant hepatitis B. We report the use of lamivudine in a young woman with acute HBV infection and fulminant hepatic failure. Following lamivudine treatment, we noticed a prompt clinical, biochemical, serological and virological response as it was seen in the vast majority of, previously reported, cases. Lamivudine treatment was continued until HBsAg was cleared. Our case, as well as previously reported ones, suggests that lamivudine may have a beneficial effect in selected patients with acute severe or fulminant HBV infection.
