RESUMO
Uma das grandes características da Pós-Modernidade segundo Zygmunt Bauman é a liquidez com que a vida e as relações sociais e interpessoais acontecem, de modo que nada mais é fixo ou imutável, as percepções e ideais se modificam a todo momento. Tal característica deveria permitir ao homem contemporâneo viver a subjetividade e sua individualidade de modo pleno, sempre à procura daquilo que lhe faça feliz. Contudo, as infinitas possibilidades de ser, agir e sentir, sem uma base bem estruturada e um verdadeiro autoconhecimento, acabam por tornar o indivíduo Pós-Moderno alguém individualista e muitas vezes incapaz de compreender a si mesmo a ao outro. Em que pese a crescente narrativa abordando as questões de autoconhecimento e saúde mental, a realidade contemporânea apresenta indivíduos que buscam a satisfação de seus interesses individuais em detrimento dos anseios alheios. Diante deste cenário, a positiva resolução de conflitos nascidos das relações entre indivíduos, tanto na seara íntima quanto social, torna-se bastante difícil e complexa. Deste modo, o presente artigo tem o objetivo de explorar obras que tratam da pós-modernidade e suas relações, analisando como as relações pós-modernas acontecem à sombra do individualismo e da liquidez da vida contemporânea, como os indivíduos trabalham com a liberdade e a subjetividade no que se refere ao conhecimento de si mesmo, e como isso implica na dificuldade de bem solucionar os conflitos outrora mencionados.(AU)
One of the great characteristics of post-modernity according to Zygmunt Bauman is the liquidity with which life and social and interpersonal relationships happen, so that nothing else is fixed or immutable, perceptions and ideals change all the time. This characteristic should allow contemporary man to live subjectivity and his individuality fully, always in search of what makes him happy. However, the infinite possibilities of being, acting and feeling, without a well-structured basis and true self-knowledge, end up making the postmodern individual someone individualistic and often incapable of understanding himself/herself to the other. In spite of the growing narrative approaching the issues of self-knowledge and mental health, contemporary reality presents individuals who seek the satisfaction of their individual interests to the detriment of others' desires. Faced with this scenario, the positive resolution of conflicts born from the relationships among individuals, both in the intimate and social areas, becomes quite difficult and complex. Thus, this article aims to explore works that deal with postmodernity and its relations, analyzing how postmodern relations take place in the shadow of individualism and liquidity of contemporary life, how individuals work with freedom and subjectivity with regard to self-knowledge, and how this implies the difficulty of properly solving the conflicts mentioned above.(AU)
