RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The incidence rate of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in China is on the rise and is considered a leading cause of death. Emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the preferred treatment method for ACS. However, severe complications may hinder emergency PCI and lead to increased mortality. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) redirects blood flow and oxygenates it before returning. Therefore, ECMO support during PCI may improve functional recovery and outcomes. This case report presents a successful case of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)-assisted emergency PCI treatment of an outpatient with ACS. CASE REPORT: Male, 43 years old, experienced sudden, severe, and persistent squeezing-like chest pains accompanied by profuse sweating. After half an hour, the patient suddenly lost consciousness and was unable to exhale. After ECMO-assisted PCI, the patient's blood pressure and blood oxygen status improved, and the autonomous rhythm was restored. Imaging results showed 100% occlusion of the middle to distal anterior descending branch. After undergoing distal thrombus aspiration, a stent was implanted in the proximal end of the anterior descending branch. Repeated angiography showed good stent adhesion and restored blood flow in the anterior descending branch. The postoperative patient was transferred to the coronary care unit (CCU) ward with ECMO and ventilator for monitoring. CONCLUSIONS: ECMO-assisted emergency PCI effectively improved the blood pressure and oxygen status of the ACS patient with cardiac arrest, and restored the autonomous rhythm, with a good rehabilitation effect.

RESUMO

Objective: To analyze the occupational health monitoring data of workers in Zhoushan City, and provide scientific basis for health monitoring and the formulation of occupational disease prevention measures. Methods: From January 2016 to November 2019, the occupational health examination data of 37826 workers in Zhoushan City were collected to analyze the change trend of the detection rate of suspected occupational diseases and occupational contraindications, and to compare the health monitoring status of workers with different social characteristics such as enterprise scale and economic type. Results: From 2016 to 2019, the detection rate of suspected occupational diseases showed a downward trend (χ(2)(trend)=21.09, P<0.05) . The occupational health examination of on-the-job workers in Zhoushan were mainly small enterprises (59.72%, 22591/37826) , private economic enterprises (65.32%, 24707/37826) , male (82.03%, 31028/37826) , 30-49 years old (59.11%, 22359/37826) , and exposed to noise (67.06%, 25365/37826) . The detection rates of occupational contraindications and suspected occupational diseases were higher in micro enterprise, male, over 60 years old, exposed to occupational hazards for more than 49 months, and exposed to chemical and physical hazards at the same time. The detection rates of occupational contraindications and suspected occupational diseases were significantly different among different enterprise scale, economic type, gender, age and occupational hazard factors (P<0.05) . Among benzene workers with occupational contraindications and suspected occupational diseases, the detection rate of A/G abnormality in female workers was higher than that in male workers (P=0.04) , and there was no significant difference in other genders (P>0.05) . Conclusion: It is necessary to pay more attention to the workers working in small and private enterprises in Zhoushan City, strengthen the occupational health supervision of male workers who are over 60 years old who are exposed to benzene, noise and other occupational hazards, standardize the occupational health inspection, and effectively protect the health of the occupational population.

RESUMO

We propose and experimentally demonstrate the propagation of slow/fast light in an erbium-doped fiber (EDF) using mutually modulated cross-gain modulation. The group velocity of the light signal can be manipulated by the effect of gain cross-saturation modulation by a saturating light at an arbitrary wavelength in the gain bandwidth of the EDF. The ultraslow propagation with a small group velocity of 5.6 × 10⁻³c (c is the light speed in free space) and superluminal propagation with a negative group velocity of -1.1 × 10⁻³c has been observed under different modulation phases.

RESUMO

We report the amplitude-equalized high order arbitrary numerator rational harmonic mode-locked (RHMLed) pulse generations based on the technique of nonlinear polarization rotation in the fiber-ring laser. The numerator effect on the amplitude uniformity of RHMLed pulse train is first investigated. It is demonstrated that the high order RHMLed pulse train with uniform amplitude can be achieved by choosing a proper numerator. The pulse amplitude equalization in up to the 10th order RHMLed pulse train is observed when the numerator is equal to 3 instead of 1. It is important that the technique may be useful to generate the high-speed pulse trains with uniform amplitude by using the high order RHMLing technique.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study the role of Anopheles anthropophagus in malaria transmission and transmission threshold so as to provide basis for vector surveillance and malaria control strategy. METHODS: Parasitological and entomological methods were used in the investigation at 5 villages of Xinyang City, Henan Province. RESULTS: From July to August, 1999, 74 febrile cases (10.9% of the total population) were examined. Among them 50 were infected, the incidence in the population of surveyed spots was 7.4%. Active detection was made in another randomly selected two villages and found that the parasite rate in the inhabitants was 2.0%, and the positive rate of IFA was 8.4%. Only vivax malaria was detected. An. anthropophagus and An. sinensis were collected, with An. anthropophagus as the predominant one in human dwellings. The estimated man-biting rate and the human blood index were 4.9388 and 0.7858 respectively. The vectorial capacity of An. anthropophagus was 5.5296. The critical man-biting rate of An. anthropophagus was 0.2407 as calculated by the formula (ma = -rlnP/abPh) according to Macdonald's model. The local man-biting rate was 20 times higher than that of the critical man-biting rate. CONCLUSION: The results demonstrated that An. anthropophagus is the principal vector in malaria transmission in the area. The findings imply that the critical man-biting rate is of practicable importance in vector surveillance.

RESUMO

The kinetic behaviors of Cr(VI) and W(VI), which catalyze a common indicator reaction between H(2)O(2) and I(-), were studied. A new concept, 'Rate Spectrum', is proposed. The two catalysts can be determined simultaneously by analyzing the rate spectra of their mixtures as the rate spectra of each catalyst are linearly independent. Principal Component Regression (PCR) was used to analyze the rate spectra of the mixtures of Cr and W, and in this way the two ions were determined simultaneously through a single kinetic run.

RESUMO

An approximate equation for data processing is proposed for the simultaneous determination of catalysts by catalytic kinetics. On applying the equation to the reaction between two reactants catalysed by two catalysts, the calculation is simplified to that of only one reactant, simplifying the experiment and data processing. The equation was used to treat the simultaneous determination of ruthenium and osmium with Ce(IV)As(III) as the indicator reaction, with the results in good agreement with those using the exact equation.

RESUMO

This paper reports relative degree of the grey system analysis on socioeconomic factors contributing to malaria transmission in Hainan province. The results indicated that the prior factors related to malaria transmission are economic conditions, primary health care, human behavior and culture. It is suggested that rebuilding primary health care and strengthening health propaganda would be advantageous to malaria control in these areas.

RESUMO

In order to know the process of ovariole contraction after oviposition in Anopheles sinensis and An. Anthropophagus, and to determine the relationship between the ovariole contraction and the physiological age, the observation was conducted in 1988. The laboratory-reared female mosquitoes after 3-5 days of eclosion were fed with mouse blood and were kept in separate finger tubes for oviposition. After oviposition, the mosquitoes were dissected at different time. 30 ovarioles for each mosquito were examined and recorded by Detinova's method. A total number of 75 An. sinensis with 2,262 ovarioles and 87 An. anthropophagus with 2,591 ovarioles were examined after first oviposition. The duration for ovariole contraction in the phase of A,B,C,D,E was 1, 3-6, 9-14, 15-18 and 21h respectively. A total number of 40 An. sinensis with 1,337 ovarioles and 34 An. anthropophagus with 1,099 ovarioles were examined after third oviposition. The duration for ovariole contraction in the phase of A,B,C,D,E was 1, 3-9, 12-15, 18 and 21h respectively. E phase can be found in 21-24h after oviposition. There were 29.3% and 38.0% ovarioles in C and D phase for first oviposition while 48.4% and 46.0% ovarioles in C and D phase for third oviposition. It was found that the contraction occurred first in breadth and then in length.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)

RESUMO

This paper uses Grey Model to divide the malaria incidence of 1956-1986 into interval in Xuzhou City. The Grey forecasting GM (1,1) model is used to calculate the malaria incidence in 1987 and 1988. The accuracy of forecasting is 94.83% and 82.44% respectively. Furthermore, the Grey Verhulst model is used to fit the malaria incidence for the study of the declining tendency of vivax malaria incidence. Based on the fitting models, the decline tendency estimation models of vivax malaria are worked out.
