RESUMO

The addition of antidepressants to combined treatment of IHD patients aroused not only mediated psychic benefit, but also positive shifts in metabolic and mediator regulation of chronic psychoemotional stress. Antidepressants administration results in lowering of total blood cholesterol and atherogenic lipoproteins, inhibits LPO, promotes normalization of cyclic nucleotides levels (cAMP and cGMP increase and decrease, respectively). Clinical course of the disease also improved (less frequent and severe attacks of angina pectoris and associated atypical pain syndrome, of arrhythmia paroxysms; exercise tolerance increased, hemodynamics improved). The arguments in favour of antidepressant use in coronary patients with anxiodepressive symptoms and social and psychological dysadaptation are provided.

RESUMO

As a result of examining 276 patients with duodenal ulcer the leading psychopathogenic variants of the disease were established. Inclusion of psychotherapy into multimodality treatment of patients with duodenal ulcer led to the reduction of anxious-depressive disturbances, accelerated the cessation of the painful and dyspeptic syndromes, lowered the ergotropic activity of the neurohormonal systems. Normalization of adrenalin excretion served as an indicator of favourable prognosis. Psychotherapy turned out less effective in patients with hypochondriac fixations and affective rigidity.

RESUMO

A psychosomatic examination of 134 neurotic patients with the cardiophobic syndrome included psychological study, calculation of vegetative parameters, electroencephalography, and integral rheography. The authors have established the possibility of quantitative determination of severity of psychovegetative syndrome and shown its structural integrity and interrelationship between the level of anxiety and the degree and orientation of vegetative and hemodynamic changes. The factor of anxiety has been identified. The principles of pathogenetic therapy taking into consideration stable psychovegetative patterns are validated.

RESUMO

Altogether 276 male patients with duodenal ulcer (DU), 45 with the preulcerative condition (PUC) and 70 with gastroduodenitis were examined. Anxiety-depressive disorders were most frequently revealed in all the groups. The frequency of hypochondriac fixation in DU increased. The neurohormonal "basis" of affective rigidity is formed during PUC. Specific variants of neurohormonal rearrangement in the transformation of PUC into DU were revealed in depressive, anxiety and hysterical manifestations.

RESUMO

Hemolysis of blood was studied in two groups of patients: the main group consisted of 75 patients with mitral, aortal and two-valves prostheses; a control group had 15 patients with rheumatic valve defects without prostheses. It was shown that hemolysis was minimal in patients with a satisfactory function of prostheses. It was higher after double prostheses and especially in patients with dysfunction of the valves. Lactate dehydrogenase is thought to be the most important and reliable test for the assessment of the hemolysis degree.

RESUMO

The paper presents the results of clinico-physiological and biochemical studies of artificial functional connections (ASFC-1) of the human brain, formed in parkinsonians in the process of treatment by means of implanted electrodes. Medical activation of ASFC-1 is shown to have an optimizing influence on the mechanisms of intracentral regulation and connected with the latter other brain systems, such influence being reflected in the dynamics of clinical effects and vegetative-humoral activities. It is shown that ASFC-1 may be used for treatment and diagnostic aims in patients with prolonged diseases of the nervous system.
