RESUMO

The aim of the research study is to assess the cardiovascular health benefits related to football in Brazilian adolescents. By assisting teenagers in maintaining a healthy body weight and lowering their risk of cardiovascular problems linked to obesity, these physical activities help control weight. Football regularly is also associated with better blood pressure control and advantageous metabolic profiles. For measuring the research, used smart PLS software and described results, including descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient analysis, and the smart PLS Algorithm model. In addition to their physiological advantages, team sports promote cardiovascular health due to their psychological benefits, including lowered stress levels and enhanced mental health. However, current studies carried out in the area should be examined to provide exact insights into the cardiovascular advantages in adolescents from Brazil. The overall result found that direct and significant analysis of the cardiovascular health benefits of football in Brazilian adolescents. As a result, even though the body of research highlights the potential benefits of football for youth cardiovascular health, more study that focuses on particular regions will be necessary to fully comprehend the connection between youth football participation and cardiovascular health in Brazil (AU)

RESUMO

Based on current research and broad concepts, this research provides an overview of the possible effects of community-based sports programs on mental health in Brazilian favelas. The research study aims to determine the effectiveness of community-based sports programs on mental health in the Brazilian favelas. Although there may not be as many particular studies on this subject, a larger body of research indicates that physical activity, especially sports, might improve mental health by lowering stress levels and generating endorphins. Beyond just providing physical activity,community-based sports programs in Brazilian favelas promote social ties, community participation, and empowerment, all essential for building resilience in difficult socioeconomic contexts. For measuring, the research study used smart PLS software and generated results, including descriptive statistics and correlation coefficients, explaining the smart PLS Algorithm model between them. With an emphasis on goal-setting, discipline, and collaboration, the programs support the healthy development of young people and may even serve as a deterrent to dangerous behavior. However, efficacy varies depending on elements likecultural relevance and program design. Overall, the result found a positive and significant link between community-based sports programs and mental health in Brazilian favelas. Recent research on community-based sports programs in Brazilian favelas and their unique mental health effects is advised to better comprehend these dynamics (AU)

RESUMO

A modified version of the QuEChERS method has been evaluated for the determination of 21 pharmaceuticals and 6 personal care products (PPCPs) in drinking-water sludge samples by employing ultra high liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). The performance of the method was evaluated through linearity, recovery, precision (intra-day), method detection and quantification limits (MDL and MQL) and matrix effect. The calibration curves prepared in acetonitrile and in the matrix extract showed a correlation coefficient ranging from 0.98 to 0.99. MQLs values were on the ng g(-1) order of magnitude for most compounds. Recoveries between 50% and 93% were reached with RSDs lower than 10% for most compounds. Matrix effect was almost absent with values lower than 16% for 93% of the compounds. By coupling a quick and simple extraction called QuEChERS with the UPLC-MS/MS analysis, a method that is both selective and sensitive was obtained. This methodology was successfully applied to real samples and caffeine and benzophenone-3 were detected in ng g(-1) levels.

RESUMO

Water is fundamental to the existence of life since it is essential to a series of activities, such as agriculture, power generation, and public and industrial supplies. The residual water generated by these activities is released into the environment, reaches the water systems, and becomes a potential risk to nontarget organisms. This paper reports the development and validation of a quantitative method, based on solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, for the simultaneous analysis of 18 pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) and 33 pesticides in surface and drinking waters. The accuracy of the method was determined by calculating the recoveries, which ranged from 70 to 120 % for most pesticides and PPCPs, whereas limits of quantification ranged from 0.8 to 40 ng/L. After the validation step, the method was applied to drinking and surface waters. Pesticides and PPCPs were found in concentrations lower than 135.5 ng/L. The evaluation of different water sources with regard to contamination by pesticides and PPCPs has been quite poor in southern Brazil.
