RESUMO

Sclerosing stromal tumor (SST) is an extremely rare ovarian neoplasm that primarily affects young female individuals. Patients with SST often present with pelvic pain and menstrual irregularities. Herein, we report a case of SST of the ovary in an 11-yr-old girl with symptoms of abdominal pain and menstrual irregularities. A preoperative diagnosis of tumors in the left adnexa and right ovary was made by pelvic ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging, and the patient underwent exploratory laparotomy and laparoscopic cystectomy. The ovarian masses were removed and proven to be SST in the left ovary and Müllerian cyst in the right fallopian tube on histopathologic examination and immunochemistry. To our knowledge, the 11-yr-old patient presented here was the only case with SST and Müllerian cyst simultaneously.

RESUMO

To compare the principles and system frameworks on PET and MRI systems. The functional characteristics and present adoptive structural models of PET/MRI as molecular imaging equipment is introduced in particular. To compare several update techniques of attenuation correction for PET image with MRI parameters and to expatiate their deficiencies. The advantages on PET/MRI clinical applications and the future development of PET/MRI are introduced briefly.

RESUMO

Highly sensitive determination of tumour markers is the key for early diagnosis of cancer. Herein, triple signal amplification strategy resulting from polymer nanospheres, Pt NPs, and DNAzyme was proposed in the developed electrochemical immunosensor. First, electroactive polymer nanospheres were synthesized by infinite coordination polymerization of ferrocenedicarboxylic acid, which could generate strong electrochemical signals due to plentiful ferrocene molecules. Further, the polymer nanospheres were functionalized by Pt NPs and DNAzyme (hemin/G-quadruplex) with the ability of catalyzing H2O2, which contributes to enhance the electrochemical signals. The prepared conjugations were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). And the process of preparation was monitored by zeta potential. Based on the sandwich-type immunoassay, the electrochemical immunosensor was constructed employing the conjugations as signal tags. Under optimal conditions, the DPV peak increased with the increasing of alpha fetal protein (AFP) concentration, and the linear range was from 0.1pgmL(-1) to 100ngmL(-1) with low detection limit of 0.086pgmL(-1). Meanwhile, the designed immunosensor exhibited excellent selectivity and anti-interference property, good reproducibility and stability. More importantly, there were no significant differences in analyzing real clinical samples between designed immunosensor and commercial ELISA.

RESUMO

This paper introduces component, principle and technical progress of integrated simultaneous TOF-PET/MR molecular imaging equipment. It briefly describes the integrated PET/MRI device design and composition classification. IT discusses special contributions to clinical application and research with TOF-PET/MR, requirement of photoelectric component on PET detector for attaining TOF reconstruction and the prerequisite that performed simultaneous scan on PET/MR. It compares the performance differences between APD and SSPM. The problems and the challenges of PET attenuation correction with MR image parameters are introduced briefly.

With the development of molecular imaging technology, incorporate multiple modes of medical imaging imaging techniques of SPECT/CT and PET/CT technology with a certain degree of development. But compared to SPECT/CT and PET/CT technologies, SPECT/CT far earlier than PET/CT technology to clinical applications, due to a variety of factors influence SPECT/CT far PET/CT clinical applications to grow faster. This article highlights the progress and problems of SPECT/CT technology.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze causes of the complications in treatment of the intertrochanteric fractures with dynamic hip screw (DHS) and discuss the way of the prevention. METHODS: Sixty-five cases of intertrochanter fractures of femur were treated with DHS. Among them, the complications occurred in 13 cases, their causes were analyzed and corresponding preventive treatments were discussed. The patients with complications included 8 male and 5 female, and the mean age was 70.2 years (range, from 56 to 82 years). RESULTS: The major complications of 13 cases included proximal femoral cortex broken in 2 cases, femoral heads penetrated by screw in 2,varus deformity of hip in 5, necrosis of femoral head in 1, the wound infection in 3 (including bone non-union in 1). CONCLUSION: The main causes of the complications are various as follows: the nonstandard operative procedure, incorrect aseptic measures, unsatisfactory reduction, and too early weight bearing. Therefore, appropriate preventive measures such as correct aseptic manipulation, effective treatment of general medical illness,formal operative procedure good reduction, proper fixation of lesser trochanter and posteromedial bone fragment, and correct functional training program should be taken.
