RESUMO
Wilms' tumors that contain features of both renal cell carcinoma and classic Wilms' tumor histology are rare. Even though nine such cases have been previously reported in the literature, we report the first case of a Wilms' tumor with an overwhelmingly renal cell carcinoma histologic pattern.

We report the nineteenth documented case of a metastatic renal cell carcinoma implant to the bladder. Our patient, like others, presented with gross hematuria 6 years after treatment of the primary lesion. The literature is reviewed with reference to documented and unsupported cases. The hypotheses for the mechanism or mechanisms of spread and treatment regimens are discussed. The differential diagnosis of hematuria following nephrectomy for hypernephroma should include the possibility of metastatic renal cell carcinoma to the bladder.

We report a rare case of complete avulsion of the proximal urethra from the bladder neck and a urethrovaginal fistula secondary to blunt pelvic injury in a girl. The management consisted of a relatively simple first stage procedure, suprapubic cystostomy, followed 6 months later by transpubic repair of the defect. The child is continent and free of urethral obstruction 10 months postoperatively.

Multiple diagnostic imaging techniques are currently available to the clinician but the complementary nature of these techniques is frequently overlooked. A case is presented to illustrate the contributions of ultrasound, radiology, and nuclear medicine in evaluating renal disease.

The present report describes a pilot project to apply the principle of minidose heparinization to patients undergoing prostatectomy, comparing a control group of 50 prostatectomies treated in conventional fashion to a study group of 43 prostatectomies treated with minidose heparinization. Results of the study indicate that perioperative minidose heparinization in patients undergoing prostatectomy is associated with longer hospitalization, greater need for blood transfusion, greater degree of immediate and delayed postoperative bleeding, and a higher incidence of "rebound" pulmonary embolization after cessation of heparin, than in patients treated in conventional fashion.

Surgical experience with thirty-one implantable Silastic penile prostheses in 28 patients is reviewed, with success in all but 2 patients. Surgical technique, indications for the procedure, postoperative complications, and results are reviewed. It is suggested that consideration be made for use of an implantable penile prosthesis in patients with organic or psychogenic impotence unresponsive to other therapeutic techniques.
