RESUMO

Film cooling technology is of great significance to enhance the performance of aero-engines and extend service life. With the increasing requirements for film cooling efficiency, researchers and engineers have carried out a lot of work on the precision and digital measurement of cooling holes. Based on the above, this paper outlines the importance and principles of film cooling technology and reviews the evolution of cooling holes. Also, this paper details the traditional measurement methods of the cooling hole used in current engineering scenarios with their limitations and categorizes digital measurement methods into five main types, including probing measurement technology, optical measurement technology, infrared imaging technology, computer tomography (CT) scanning technology, and composite measurement technology. The five types of methods and integrated automated measurement platforms are also analyzed. Finally, through a generalize and analysis of cooling hole measurement methods, this paper points out technical challenges and future trends, providing a reference and guidance for forward researches.

RESUMO

Exploring the tradeoff and synergy relationship among ecosystem services in the Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Eco-Economic Zone is of great practical significance for regional ecosystem service function zoning and high-quality development. Using the InVEST model, spatial auto-correlation and trade-off synergism (ESTD) model, we analyzed the spatial and temporal variations of five ecosystem services (habitat quality, carbon storage, soil conservation, water conservation, and water purification), as well as their trade-off and synergistic relationships at the township scale from 2000 to 2020. The results showed that habitat quality, carbon storage, and nitrogen and phosphorus output decreased as a whole from 2000 to 2020, and soil conservation and water purification increased. Habitat quality showed a distribution pattern of high in the north and low in the south, and carbon sto-rage, nitrogen and phosphorus output, soil conservation and water purification showed a pattern of low in the north and high in the south. During the study period, synergistic relationships among the five ecosystem services were predominant in both time cross-section and time period, but there were still differences, with synergistic relationships mainly between carbon storage and other services in time cross-section, and between habitat quality and other ser-vices in time period. Our results can provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for the enhancement of ecosystem services and the zoning of ecosystem functions, as well as basic support for the optimization of spatial patterns of national territory.

RESUMO

This study develops a comprehensive framework for understanding the interaction of shale gas-water-carbon nexus in Sichuan-Chongqing region. Within this framework, a county-level water security index (WSI) evaluation system is structured. Spatial autocorrelation model and spatial matching degree model are integrated to illustrate the spatial agglomeration characteristics of water security and the water-carbon relationship, respectively. The impacts of shale gas development on water security and carbon emissions are evaluated based on identification of shale well productivity. Results show that about 25.17% of counties with WSI < 0.4 (unsafe), especially in the eastern region. The central cities (such as Chengdu and Neijiang) should take active steps to reach a safety threshold (WSI ≥ 0.6). Population growth can accelerate water security deterioration through uncertainty analysis. Moreover, the spatial matching degree between WSI and carbon emissions in most cities is extremely poor (< 0.5), implying that these cities should optimize their energy structure and promote green transformation. Water used for shale gas extraction can hardly be ignored from a county-scale perspective, especially in Tongliang, Tongnan, and Jianyang. The future shale gas development would pose a threat to the regional climate.

RESUMO

AIMS: In diabetes, autophagy and the nuclear factor erythroid-derived-2-like 2 (Nrf2)-dependent antioxidant system are impaired. Translocator protein (TSPO) agonist Ro5-4864 alleviates neuropathic pain, including diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). However, the precise mechanisms remain unclear. Thus, we investigated the effects of Ro5-4864 on autophagy and the Nrf2-dependent antioxidant system in the sciatic nerves of DPN rats. METHODS: All rats were randomly assigned to Sham or DPN group. After type 2 diabetes modelling (established by high-fat diet and streptozotocin injection) followed by behavioural tests, established DPN rats were randomly assigned to the DPN group, the Ro (TSPO agonist Ro5-4864) group, the Ro + 3-MA (autophagy inhibitor) group and the Ro + ML385 (Nrf2 inhibitor) group. Behavioural assessments were performed at baseline, on days 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28. Sciatic nerves were collected on day 28 for immunofluorescence, morphological and western blot analyses. RESULTS: Ro5-4864 alleviated allodynia and increased myelin sheath thickness and myelin protein expression after DPN. Beclin-1 (p < 0.01) and LC3-II/LC3-I ratio (p < 0.01) decreased and p62 (p < 0.01) accumulated in the DPN rats. Ro5-4864 administration increased the Beclin-1 and LC3-II/LC3-I ratio and decreased p62 accumulation. Furthermore, nuclear Nrf2 contents (p < 0.01) and cytoplasmic HO-1 (p < 0.01) and NQO1 (p < 0.01) expressions were significantly inhibited in the DPN rat, which was also improved by Ro5-4864. All the beneficial effects were abrogated by 3-MA or ML385. CONCLUSION: TSPO exhibited a potent analgesic effect and improved Schwann cell function and regeneration against DPN by activating the Nrf2-dependent antioxidant system and promoting autophagy.

RESUMO

A one-dimensional lattice model with mosaic quasiperiodic potential is found to exhibit interesting localization properties, e.g. clear mobility edges (Wanget al2020Phys. Rev. Lett.125196604). We generalize this mosaic quasiperiodic model to a two-dimensional version, and numerically investigate its localization properties: the phase diagram from the fractal dimension of the wavefunction, the statistical and scaling properties of the conductance. Compared with disordered systems, our model shares many common features but also exhibits some different characteristics in the same dimensionality and the same universality class. For example, the sharp peak atg∼0of the critical distribution and the largeglimit of the universal scaling functionßresemble those behaviors of three-dimensional disordered systems.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the association between the urinary arsenic level and serum total testosterone in Chinese men aged 18 to 79 years. Methods: A total of 5 048 male participants aged 18 to 79 years were recruited from the China National Human Biomonitoring (CNHBM) from 2017 to 2018. Questionnaires and physical examinations were used to collect information on demographic characteristics, lifestyle, food intake frequency and health status. Venous blood and urine samples were collected to detect the level of serum total testosterone, urinary arsenic and urinary creatinine. Participants were divided into three groups (low, middle, and high) based on the tertiles of creatinine-adjusted urinary arsenic concentration. Weighted multiple linear regression was fitted to analyze the association of urinary arsenic with serum total testosterone. Results: The weighted average age of 5 048 Chinese men was (46.72±0.40) years. Geometric mean concentration (95%CI) of urinary arsenic, creatinine-adjusted urinary arsenic and serum testosterone was 22.46 (20.08, 25.12) μg/L, 19.36 (16.92, 22.15) μg/g·Cr and 18.13 (17.42, 18.85) nmol/L, respectively. After controlling for covariates, compared with the low-level urinary arsenic group, the testosterone level of the participants in the middle-level group and the high-level group decreased gradually. The percentile ratio (95%CI) was -5.17% (-13.14%, 3.54%) and -10.33% (-15.68%, -4.63). The subgroup analysis showed that the association between the urinary arsenic level and testosterone level was more obvious in the group with BMI<24 kg/m2 group (Pinteraction=0.023). Conclusion: There is a negative association between the urinary arsenic level and serum total testosterone in Chinese men aged 18 to 79 years.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the association of the levels of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) with frailty and its components among the elderly over 65 years old in 9 longevity areas of China. Methods: Cross-sectional data from the Health Ageing and Biomarkers Cohort Study (HABCS, 2017-2018) were used and the elderly over 65 years old were included in this study. Through questionnaire interview and physical examination, the information including demographic characteristics, behavior, diet, daily activity, cognitive function, and health status was collected. The association between hs-CRP and frailty and its components in the participants was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression model and restrictive cubic spline. Results: A total of 2 453 participants were finally included, the age was (84.8±19.8) years old. The median hs-CRP level was 1.13 mg/L and the prevalence of frailty was 24.4%. Compared with the low-level group (hs-CRP<1.0 mg/L), the OR (95%CI) value of the high-level group (hs-CRP>3.0 mg/L) was 1.79 (1.35-2.36) mg/L. As for the components, the hs-CRP level was also positively associated with ADL disability, IADL disability, functional limitation and multimorbidity. After adjusting for confounding factors, compared with the low-level group, the OR (95%CI) values of the high-level group for the four components were 1.68 (1.25-2.27), 1.88 (1.42-2.50), 1.68 (1.31-2.14) and 1.39 (1.12-1.72), respectively. Conclusion: There is a positive association between the levels of hs-CRP and the risk of frailty among the elderly over 65 years old in 9 longevity areas of China. The higher hs-CRP level may increase the risk of frailty by elevating the risk of four physical functional disabilities, namely ADL disability, IADL disability, functional limitation and multimorbidity.

RESUMO

Background: Two analgesic strategies have been described for pain treatment after the pectus excavatum surgery: the patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) and ultrasound-guided intercostal nerve block. In this prospective, randomized and double-blinded trial and the short and long-term outcomes were compared in patients after surgery. Methods: The children were randomized to either the intercostal or control group. Ultrasound-guided intercostal nerve block was with 0.25% ropivacaine and 5 mg dexamethasone in the intercostal group, while the control group was with 0.9% normal saline. The block was performed in the intercostal space corresponding to the lowest depression of the sternum and repeated bilaterally in the spaces above and below. Postoperatively, the children in the two-groups received PCIA with fentanyl for 48 hours. The primary outcome was a pain score on the postoperative day 1, as measured by the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Results: Sixty children undergoing the Nuss procedure were enrolled in the trial. The mean differences in VAS scores between the two groups were 3.2 in the PACU (p < 0.001), 1.7 on postoperative day 1 (p < 0.001) and 0.7 on postoperative day 2 (p=0.015). The opioid consumption was significantly lower in the intercostal group during the postoperative 48 hours (p < 0.05). The anxiety and QOL scores in the intercostal group were significantly improved on some points of time (p < 0.05). The incidence of adverse events was markedly lower in the intercostal group during the postoperative 48 hours (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Our results suggest ultrasound-guided intercostal nerve block with PCIA may be more effective than PCIA alone in children who underwent the Nuss procedure.

RESUMO

Purpose: Recent studies showed promotion of astrocyte autophagy in the spinal cord would provide analgesic effects. Silent information regulator T1 (SIRT1) and α subunit of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ coactivator-1 (PGC-1α) are two master regulators of endogenous antioxidant defense and mitochondrial biogenesis. They play vital roles in both autophagy and neuropathic pain (NP). Our previous study showed that TSPO agonist Ro5-4864 elicited potent analgesic effects against NP, but the mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to investigate the effects of TSPO agonist Ro5-4864 on autophagy and nuclear SIRT1/PGC-1α signaling in spinal dorsal horn. Methods: A rat model of L5 spinal nerve ligation (SNL) was adopted. Rats were randomly assigned to the Sham group, the SNL group, the Ro (TSPO agonist Ro5-4864) group and the Ro+3-MA group. The behavior assessments were conducted at baseline, on Day 1, 3, 7 and 14 after SNL. The autophagy-related proteins (ATG7, Beclin1, LC3, and P62) in spinal dorsal horn were assayed and the nuclear SIRT1/PGC-1α and downstream factors were analyzed. Results: Ro5-4864 alleviated the mechanical allodynia induced by SNL (P < 0.01 vs the SNL group), which could be totally abrogated by autophagy inhibitor 3-MA (P < 0.01 vs the Ro group). SNL induced elevated ATG7 (P < 0.01), Beclin1 (P < 0.01) and LC3-II/LC3-I (P < 0.01) contents and P62 accumulation (P < 0.01) on Day 7 and Day 14, which suggested an autophagy flux impairment. Ro5-4864 augmented ATG7 (P < 0.01), Beclin1 (P < 0.01) and LC3-II/LC3-I (P < 0.05) with decreased P62 (P < 0.01), which indicated a more fluent autophagic process. These effects were also totally abrogated by 3-MA (P < 0.01). Furthermore, Ro5-4864 activated the spinal nuclear SIRT1/PGC-1α signaling pathway. Conclusion: TSPO improved both autophagy impairment and mitochondrial biogenesis, which may provide a new strategy for the treatment of NP.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the association of blood lead and blood selenium with serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) among Chinese adults aged 19 to 79 years. Methods: The participants were enrolled from the first wave of China National Human Biomonitoring (CNHBM) conducted from 2017 to 2018. 10 153 participants aged 19 to 79 years were included in this study. Fasting blood samples were obtained from participants. Lead and selenium in whole blood and hs-CRP in serum were measured. Individuals with hs-CRP levels above 3.0 mg/L were defined as elevated hs-CRP. Generalized linear mixed models and restricted cubic spline models were used to analyze the association of blood lead and blood selenium with elevated hs-CRP. Logistic regression models were used to analyze the multiplicative scale and additive scale interaction between blood lead and blood selenium on elevated hs-CRP. Results: The age of participants was (48.91±15.38) years, of which 5 054 (61.47%) were male. 1 181 (11.29%) participants were defined as elevated hs-CRP. After multivariable adjustment, results from generalized linear models showed that compared with participants with the lowest quartile of blood lead, the OR (95%CI) of elevated hs-CRP for participants with the second, third, and highest quartiles were 1.14 (0.94-1.37), 1.25 (1.04-1.52) and 1.38 (1.13-1.68), respectively. When compared with participants with the lowest quartile of blood selenium, the OR (95%CI) of elevated hs-CRP for participants with the second, third and highest quartiles were 0.86 (0.72-1.04), 0.91 (0.76-1.11), and 0.75 (0.61-0.92), respectively. Results from the interaction analysis showed no significant interaction between lead and selenium on elevated hs-CRP. Conclusion: Blood concentration of lead was positively associated with elevated serum hs-CRP, and blood concentration of selenium was inversely related to elevated hs-CRP, while blood lead and selenium did not present interaction on elevated hs-CRP.

RESUMO

Combining Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) with endoscopy, it is expected that noninvasive, rapid detection of colorectal cancer can be performed in vivo in the future. In this study, Fourier transform infrared spectra were collected from 88 endoscopic biopsy colorectal tissue samples (41 colitis and 47 cancers). A new method, viz., entropy weight local-hyperplane k-nearest-neighbor (EWHK), which is an improved version of K-local hyperplane distance nearest-neighbor (HKNN), is proposed for tissue classification. In order to avoid limiting high dimensions and small values of the nearest neighbor, the new EWHK method calculates feature weights based on information entropy. The average results of the random classification showed that the EWHK classifier for differentiating cancer from colitis samples produced a sensitivity of 81.38% and a specificity of 92.69%.

RESUMO

For achieving the development of a portable, low-cost and in vivo cancer diagnosis instrument, a laser 785 nm miniature Raman spectrometer was used to acquire the Raman spectra for breast cancer detection in this paper. However, because of the low spectral signal-to-noise ratio, it is difficult to achieve high discrimination accuracy by using the miniature Raman spectrometer. Therefore, a pattern recognition method of the adaptive net analyte signal (NAS) weight k-local hyperplane (ANWKH) is proposed to increase the classification accuracy. ANWKH is an extension and improvement of K-local hyperplane distance nearest-neighbor (HKNN), and combines the advantages of the adaptive weight k-local hyperplane (AWKH) and the net analyte signal (NAS). In this algorithm, NAS was first used to eliminate the influence caused by other non-target factors. Then, the distance between the test set samples and hyperplane was calculated with consideration of the feature weights. The HKNN only works well for small values of the nearest-neighbor. However, the accuracy decreases with increasing values of the nearest-neighbor. The method presented in this paper can resolve the basic shortcoming by using the feature weights. The original spectra are projected into the vertical subspace without the objective factors. NAS was employed to obtain the spectra without irrelevant information. NAS can improve the classification accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of breast cancer early diagnosis. Experimental results of Raman spectra detection in vitro of breast tissues showed that the proposed algorithm can obtain high classification accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. This paper demonstrates that the ANWKH algorithm is feasible for early clinical diagnosis of breast cancer in the future.
