RESUMO
The cytologic findings of a sex cord tumor with annular tubules (SCTAT) that ruptured during laparoscopy are described. Features useful in distinguishing SCTAT from other ovarian sex cord tumors include the presence of highly cellular tubular formations containing well-delimited glassy pink material and absence of single cells. To the best of our knowledge, the cytology of SCTAT has not been previously reported.

We describe a case of intraductal carcinoma (comedo type) in a 50-yr-old male. The patient had presented with a bloody nipple discharge, which had shown malignant cells on cytologic examination. In current clinical practice, the use of nipple discharge cytology as a screening and diagnostic tool for breast carcinoma is largely supplemental; however, this case illustrates the occasional utility of nipple discharge cytology in the diagnosis of early breast carcinoma.

The synthesis and properties of 2-[125I]-lysergic acid diethylamide, the first 125I-labeled serotonin receptor ligand, are described. A novel microsynthesis apparatus was developed for this synthesis. The apparatus employs a micromanipulator and glass micro tools to handle microliter to nanoliter volumes on a microscope stage. This apparatus should be generally useful for the synthesis of radioligands and other compounds when limited amounts of material must be handled in small volumes.
