[Effects of T-type calcium channel blockers on spontaneous meiotic maturation of mouse ovarian oocytes in vitro]. / Vlyv blokatoriv kal'tsievykh kanaliv t-typu na spontanne meiotychne dozrivannia ovarial'nykh ootsytiv myshei in vitro.

We studied the effects of blockers of the T-type Ca2+ channels on resumption of meiosis and spontaneous meiotic maturation of murine ovarial oocytes in vitro. We found that the efficiency of suppression of oocyte maturation by blockers of the Ca2+ channels increases in the following succession: amiloride hydrochloride, mebifradil, NiCl2. It is supposed that there is a possibility to use blockers of the T-type Ca2+ channels for creation of new combined intrauterine contraceptives.

[Effects of antibodies on contractility of papillary muscle in the rat heart and duration of descending phase of action potential plateau under influence of exogenic arachidonic acid and inhibiting its metabolism]. / Diia antytil na skorotlyvu zdatnist' papiliarnoho m'iaza sertsia shchura ta tryvalist' nyzkhidnoï fazy plato potentsialu diï za umov vplyvu ekzohennoï arakhidonovoï kysloty ta blokuvannia ïï metabolizmu.

The effects of both arachidonic acid (AA) and inhibition of its metabolism on the antibody-induced changes in the mechanical contraction and action potentials of the isolated papillary muscles were studied. It has been shown that antibody-dependent induction of AA oxidation led to the initiation of Ca2+ entry through voltage-dependent Ca2+ channels of a myocyte. Inhibition of the lipoxygenase way of AA peroxidation prevented Ca2+ overload of cardiomyocytes more than inhibition of the cyclooxygenase way, but less than blocking Ca2+ channels.

Experiments on mouse of the CBA line have shown that polyclonal antiovarian and specific to oolemma monoclonal antibodies depress meiotic maturation of oocytes in vitro and potentially can be the reason for the female infertility. Changes in electrogenic properties and Ca2+ channels of oolemma are likely to be in the base of the mechanisms of depressing action of antibodies on meiotic maturation.

[The structural-functional characteristics of the blood vessels of the testis and its tunicae]. / Strukturno-funktsional'ni osoblyvosti krovonosnykh sudyn iaiechka ta ioho obolonok.

The structure of arteries and veins of a testis and its capsules was studied on 53 preparations of human testes (men aged from 25 to 30 years) and on 43 preparations of rat testes (mature Wistar rats weighing 150-200 g) using the methods of vessels' injection, angiography, morphometry and silver impregnation. It has been ascertained that structure of testicular capsule arteries, veins and microvessels has specific features. The role of these blood vessels in thermoregulation of testis is discussed.
