RESUMO

The medical image management and analysis system proposed in this paper is a medical software developed by the Browser/Server (B/S) architecture after investigating the workflow of the relevant departments of the hospital, which realizes the entire process of patients from consultation to printing of reports. The computer-aided diagnosis function is added based on image management. Due to the difficulty in collecting medical image data, in the computer-aided diagnosis module, this paper only uses the common fungal keratitis collected from the hospital in the laboratory. Focused microscope images are used for experiments. First, the images were trained with three convolutional neural networks, AlexNet, ZFNet, and VGG16. These models which classify fungal keratitis were obtained and integrated was performed to obtain better classification results. Finally, the model was integrated with the system designed in this paper, which realized the automatic diagnosis of Confocal Microscopy (CM) images of fungal keratitis online and provided it to medical staff for reference. The system can improve the work efficiency of the image-related departments while reducing the workload of doctors in the department to manually read the films.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: This study was undertaken to determine the relationship between the red cell distribution width (RDW) and the one year outcomes in Chinese patients with stable angina pectoris. METHODS: A total of 1,442 patients with stable angina pectoris on admission were divided into four groups according to quartiles of the baseline RDW. The relationships between the RDW and one-year cardiac mortality as well as the incidence of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) were assessed. RESULTS: Higher RDW values were associated with an increased one-year cardiac mortality (quartile 1: 0.51%; quartile 2: 0.56%; quartile 3: 0.86%; quartile 4: 2.27%; p<0.001) and one-year ACS (quartile 1: 1.55%; quartile 2: 1.96%; quartile 3: 2.89%; quartile 4: 3.70%; p<0.001). A logistic regression analysis revealed that the RDW independently predicted cardiac mortality (OR: 1.544, 95% CI: 1.058-3.216, p<0.001) and ACS (OR: 1.861, 95% CI: 1.226-3.487, p<0.001) during a one-year follow-up in patients with stable angina pectoris. CONCLUSION: The present study indicates that an elevated RDW value is associated with an increased risk of one-year adverse outcomes in patients with stable angina pectoris.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Increased hemoglobin (Hb) levels are known to be associated with increased cardiovascular events and mortality in hypertensive patients, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. However, an increased Ambulatory Arterial Stiffness Index (AASI), the surrogate maker of arterial stiffness, has been proven to be an independent predictor of cardiovascular disease. This pilot study evaluated the association between Hb and AASI in untreated essential hypertensive patients without anemia. METHODS: A total of 566 untreated essential hypertensive patients without anemia were divided into Normal-Hb and High-Hb groups according to their Hb levels. The AASI and its symmetric calculation (Sym_AASI) were derived from 24h-Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (24h-ABPM). A multivariable linear regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between Hb and AASI, Sym_AASI. RESULTS: High-Hb group (n=127) showed higher AASI and Sym_AASI (0.51±0.11 vs 0.43±0.12, p<0.001; 0.33±0.10 vs 0.27±0.08, p<0.001) compared to Normal-Hb group (n=439). Univariate correlation analysis showed that Hb levels were positively related to AASI and Sym_AASI values (r=0.459, p<0.001; r=0.353, p<0.001). After adjustment for age, sex, BMI, current smoker, eGFR, uric acid, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, 24h-SBP, 24h-PP and dipper status, Hb persisted as a independent determinant of AASI and Sym_AASI (ß=0.402, p<0.001 and ß=0.298, p<0.001, respectively). CONCLUSION: High hemoglobin seems be to associated with increased AASI in untreated essential hypertensive patients without anemia.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To determine the main factors which affect the percutaneous penetration of artesunate and provide efficient data for the artesunate transdermal delivery system. METHOD: Transdermal speed constant and accumulative amount of 12 hours were used for the estimations of various reservior vehicles, and the supplement orthodox design was used to study the effect of pH, various proportion of IPA/Water/IPM, and drug concentration. RESULT: Drug concentration and pH were the main factors which affected the percutaneous penetration of artesunate. CONCLUSION: The suitable reservior vehicle can prompt the percutaneous penetration of artesunate, and artesunate TTS will be made with further studies.
