RESUMO

The integration of public art education and new media in colleges and universities remains a trend which cannot be stopped. As new media has had a beneficial impact on teaching content, forms of teaching, and teaching effects, it has also created various challenges for public art education in colleges and universities. While investigating the current state of integrating new media with public art education in colleges and universities, it was found that the impact of new media benefits more than it harms, whether it be online, in-person, theoretical, or practical teaching. Based on the current state, future policy focus, the direction of new media's changes, and the depth of cultural and art resources, new media and public art education in colleges and universities will continue to deepen integration and show further improvement. Using a survey of more than a dozen universities in the Jiangsu Province and the results of a questionnaire survey of 116 college students, this paper probes into the changes in public art education in colleges and universities in the new media era and explores the future developmental pattern of public art education in colleges and universities both internally and externally.

RESUMO

Modern education attaches great importance to interdisciplinary skills, among which computational thinking is a core element, and heralds a new era. IT application has shaped education in the 21st century. Computational thinking has provided further impetus for building an all-encompassing social network and fostering a DIY culture enabled by digital technologies. One empirical study used four apps to test children's development in computational thinking and fluency. The article will help students overcome their fears of coding. Peer reviews provide students with an opportunity to learn from each other and become more motivated. These reviews also serve as feedback for teachers to evaluate students' performance. Experimental design is used in this study, and a peer review system is implemented. Freshmen attending a programming class in a university are used as samples. At the class, students write computer programs with f-Chart, which provides a graphical user interface for students to learn programming logic and design. Zuvio, a cloud-based interactive response system, is used to conduct the peer reviews. The data of this study are analyzed through R. The results show not only an improvement in students' learning performance but also a gap between students' peer review scores and teachers' evaluation scores. Learning feedback and evaluation is crucial to transform education between students and teachers into a sustainable cycle system.

RESUMO

The majority of methods for recognizing human actions are based on single-view video or multi-camera data. In this paper, we propose a novel multi-surface video analysis strategy. The video can be expressed as three-surface motion feature (3SMF) and spatio-temporal interest feature. 3SMF is extracted from the motion history image in three different video surfaces: horizontal-vertical, horizontal- and vertical-time surface. In contrast to several previous studies, the prior probability is estimated by 3SMF rather than using a uniform distribution. Finally, we model the relationship score between each video and action as a probability inference to bridge the feature descriptors and action categories. We demonstrate our methods by comparing them to several state-of-the-arts action recognition benchmarks.

RESUMO

In recent years, Taiwan has been seeing an extension of the average life expectancy and a drop in overall fertility rate, initiating our country into an aged society. Due to this phenomenon, how to provide the elderly and patients with chronic diseases a suitable healthcare environment has become a critical issue presently. Therefore, we propose a new scheme that integrates healthcare services with wireless sensor technology in which sensor nodes are employed to measure patients' vital signs. Data collected from these sensor nodes are then transmitted to mobile devices of the medical staff and system administrator, promptly enabling them to understand the patients' condition in real time, which will significantly improve patients' healthcare quality. As per the personal data protection act, patients' vital signs can only be accessed by authorized medical staff. In order to protect patients', the system administrator will verify the medical staff's identity through the mobile device using a smart card and password mechanism. Accordingly, only the verified medical staff can obtain patients' vital signs data such as their blood pressure, pulsation, and body temperature, etc.. Besides, the scheme includes a time-bounded characteristic that allows the verified staff access to data without having to have to re-authenticate and re-login into the system within a set period of time. Consequently, the time-bounded property also increases the work efficiency of the system administrator and user.

RESUMO

The rapid rise and development of the internet has made digitization of our everyday life common. E-medicine, including electronic prescription records, electronic prescriptions, diagnosis information systems, and others are now being regarded as future trends. As development on the structure and format of electronic patient records and prescriptions matures, the implementation of a comprehensive medical information system is imperative, one which is constructed from integrating the various electronic information systems that is being developed. It is important to allow the implementation of such a system applicable to the present medical environment, which facilitates the integration of electronic patient record from all levels of medical centers and clinics, secures the transmission of these integrated patient records between them, enables the combined use of electronic prescriptions with patients' medications, and permits anonymous or confidential transmission of patients' private data. To put the ideas into practice, in this study, we would like to propose an Integrated Medical Information System.
