RESUMO

Fifteen compounds including nine new diterpenes were isolated from the roots of Croton yunnanensis. By HRESIMS, NMR, ECD data, and X-ray diffraction analysis, the new compounds were characterized as eight neo-clerodane diterpenes (compounds 1-8) and one 15,16-dinor-ent-pimarane diterpene (9). All diterpenes were assayed for their hypoglycemic activities. Compounds 1-4, 6, 7, and 10 promoted glucose uptake activity in insulin-resistant 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Compounds 1 and 6 showed insulin sensitizing activity, potentiating conspicuously their glucose uptake activity at a concentration of 20 µM when treated synergistically with low-concentration insulin at 1 nM.

RESUMO

Objectives: To investigate the correlation between psychological resilience, social support, and coping styles in patients with complicated hepatolithiasis. Methods: The objective sampling method was used in this study to select a total of 156 patients with complicated hepatolithiasis in a Third-class Grade A hospital in Changsha, Hunan Province from January to December 2019. Self-designed general data questionnaire, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS), and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ) were used to conduct a questionnaire investigation. Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between psychological resilience, social support, and coping styles in patients with complicated hepatolithiasis. Results: Both the total score of psychological resilience (45.79 ± 16.28) and social support (35.71 ± 9.92) of patients with complicated hepatolithiasis were significantly lower than those of the domestic norm. The total score of psychological resilience of patients with complicated hepatolithiasis was positively correlated with the total score of social support (r = 0.570, p < 0.01). The total score of psychological resilience and its three dimensions were positively correlated with the positive coping (r = 0.682, 0.673, 0.663, 0.535, p < 0.01)and negatively correlated with negative coping (r = -0.240, -0.207, -0.221, -0.286, p < 0.01). Conclusions: This study indicated that strengthening social support and improving the coping style of patients with complicated hepatolithiasis are helpful to improve their psychological resilience, which provided theory basis and reference for further intervention measures to improve social support system and coping styles.

RESUMO

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the correlation between self-care ability, psychological status, and quality of life in patients with hepatolithiasis complicated with diabetes mellitus with T-tube. Methods: The purpose of this study was to select a total of 240 patients with hepatolithiasis complicated with diabetes with T-tube from June to September 2019 in a Third-class Grade A hospital in Changsha, Hunan Province. Self-designed general information questionnaire, self-care ability implementation scale (ESCA), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS), and quality of life scale (SF-36) were used to conduct a questionnaire survey. The correlation among self-care ability, psychological status, and quality of life of patients with hepatolithiasis complicated with diabetes mellitus with T-tube was analyzed. Results: The total score of self-care ability of 240 patients with hepatolithiasis combined with diabetes with T-tube was positively correlated with the total score of quality of life (p < 0.05). The standard scores of anxiety and depression were negatively correlated with the total score of quality of life (p < 0.05). The total score of self-care ability was negatively correlated with the standard score of anxiety and depression (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Improving the self-care ability of patients with hepatolithiasis complicated with diabetes with T-tube and improving their anxiety and depression can improve their quality of life, which provides reference for further study.

RESUMO

Thirty-five tigliane diterpenoids and two ent-kaurane diterpenoids were isolated from the leaves of Croton damayeshu, and, among them, compounds 1-10 were characterized as new tigliane diterpenoids. The structures of compounds 1-10 were determined by analysis of their HRESIMS, NMR, and ECD data and by chemical methods. The isolates were assayed for their larvicidal, antifungal, and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities, and compounds 8-10 were found to possess larvicidal activities against Plutella xylostella with LC50 values of 0.19, 0.16, and 0.26 µM, respectively, comparable to the LC50 of 0.14 µM for the positive control, flubendiamide.
