RESUMO

Administration of longidaza at a dose of 3000 IU intramuscularly twice a week after 1 month of treatment leads to the statistically significant reduction of antisperm antibodies (ASAB) at the surface of sperm cells to 23% (7-48%) for MARIgG and to 14.5% (3-34%) for MARIgA. Maximum reduction of ASAB, however, was observed after third month of treatment, mean MARIgG was 2% (1-26,5%) and MARIgA - 1% (0-11.5%). ASAB level has not reduced less than 50% only in one patient (1.67%). At follow-up three months after the cancellation of Longidaza, only 17 (28.33%) men showed an increase of ASAB IgG and (or) IgA more than 50%. Inthe study group, during the observation, spontaneous pregnancy occurred in 6 (10%) pairs, and IVF was successfully performed in 3 (5%) pairs. Thus, we consider it necessary to appoint Longidaza in patients with category 4 chronic prostatitis and elevated levels of antisperm antibodies on sperm cells, who preparing for assisted reproductive technologies, or preparing for natural pregnancy, as a high-effective pathogenetical agent for the treatment of autoimmune infertility.

RESUMO

The effect of prolidoxide ointment on the healing of aseptic skin ulcers in rats was evaluated in terms of skin morphology. Prolidoxide exhibited more pronounced healing action than the analogous (with respect to the composition of natural components) reference ointment ("Wundahyl"). It is recommended to use prolidoxide for accelerated skin surface healing in the first and second stage of the ulceration process.

RESUMO

Different forms of water content were studied in myocardium and liver of male rats at 2-h hypotension and during the early postreanimation period. The phenomenon of redistribution of free and bound water was found. Comparison of water balance during the postreanimation period in the myocardium and liver revealed that normalization of different forms of water occured in myocardium. In hepatocytes oedema remained over the whole period studied.

RESUMO

The stability of collagen molecules and moisture capacity of human normal and osteoarthrotic (OA) cartilage were studied before and after extraction of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) by 4M guanidinum chloride. The content and nature of water were determined by Fisher titration, DSC and analysis of sorbtion-desorbtion processes of water vapour in cartilage. The stability of collagen molecules was determined by the degree of enzymatic hydrolysis: collagenase, pronase and pepsin. It was found that weakening of bonds between main compounds of the cartilage matrix and decrease of GAG quantities in the OA cartilage were accompanied by structural disorganization of the collagen network, which is manifested by breakdowns of intramolecular bonds in telopeptides and intermolecular bonds in the spiral part of collagen molecules, these changes may contribute to increase of total water in OA cartilage. The correlation of free and bound water fractions in cartilage was increased from 5 to 44 in OA cartilage. These results can be used as a criterion of pathological condition of human articular cartilage.

RESUMO

The content of different forms of tissue water was studied in the normal articular cartilage and osteoarthrosis cartilage and its structural components: collagen, potassium hyaluronate, sodium chondroitinsulphate and its complexes. In the components of cartilage matrix a few of fractions of bound water different in the strength of binding are present. At the maximal humidity, all water in collagen binds with the active groups of biopolymers and in the glycosaminoglycans, in addition to bound water, are present, two crystal forms of freezing water (free water) at least. The quantity of free water in the collagen-chondroitin sulphat membrane, is increased with the increase of chondroitin sulphate. In the collagen-hyaluronate complex, fraction of free water is found only at the low concentration of hyaluronate kalium. It was shown that in the hyalin cartilage, in different from the other connective tissue (skin, achilles tendon), the most part of water is free water and its quantity is increased in the osteoarthrosis. It is supposed that the rearrangement of binding and free-water fractions in the osteoarthrosis is the result of deficiency of hyaluronic acid and therefore this may be regarded in the improvement of methods of treatment. This scientific and methodical approach allow to receive information on the forms and binding energy of water in the biological tissues, which is absorbed from fluids and steam phase and determine characters of the pathological changes.

RESUMO

In in vitro experiments althan had no effect on the respiration of intact mitochondria in state 4 according to Chance and produced a high antioxidant effect in fermentative and ascorbate-dependent lipid peroxidation in intact microsomes isolated from the rat liver. In ethanol-induced toxic hepatitis althan restored the functional activity of mitochondria to the level of that in intact animals and increased microsome hydroxylase activity in CCl4-hepatitis.

RESUMO

The hepatoprotective properties of altan (obtained on the basis of ellagotannines from the cones of black alder Alnus glutinosa) are studied on the model of acute damage to the liver with tetrachloromethane. It is found that altan exhibits the hepatoprotective activity even in a dose of 1 mg/kg which is tenfold smaller compared to the dose of traditional flavonoid-based drugs. Altan limits choleopoiesis disorder, has an antiinflammatory and membrane stabilizing effect, and recovers physiological antioxidant system.

RESUMO

The article presents the material on the study of the cardioprotective effect of ellagic acid on a model of neoepinephrine myocarditis in rats. In doses of 0.5-1 mg/kg ellagic acid causes a marked antioxidant effect. Restores the disturbed myocardial functions. The reference-agent vitamin E (50 mg/kg) yields to ellagic acid as a cardioprotector. The effect of 0.5 mg/kg of ellagic acid was more stable than that of a 1 mg/kg dose. The cardioprotective activity of the drugs under study was determined according to the POL parameters in a myocardial homogenate and blood serum and according to the EEG parameters and the degree of cardiomyocyte cytolysis.

RESUMO

The hepatoprotective properties of the flavonoid preparation piflamine of field-peas grass were studied on a model of experimental paracetamol liver damage. Piflamine was found to normalize the parameters of carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolism, increase the activity of the antioxidant system, and restore the processes of bile production and bile secretion. The drug is prospective due to its quite cheap and available source of raw materials.

RESUMO

A study was made of the action of the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent glucamin on the processes of oxidation and phosphorylation (OP) in isolated mitochondria of the liver. It has been established that glucamin does not exhibit the properties of a separator in the explored concentrations (10(-2)-10(-7) M). Unlike the standard drug voltaren that separates OP processes, it slightly enhances interaction of liver mitochondria which oxidize NAD-dependent substrates. The effect of voltaren is dose-dependent, being pronounced to a greater measure when succinate is applied as a substrate of mitochondria oxidation.

RESUMO

The paper reviews the present state of the problem on the physiological importance of D-(+)-glucosamine, an amino sugar. Glucosamine is shown to be a component of many biological important systems widely spread in nature. It is a part of the connective tissues, membranes, lipopolysaccharides and mucopolysaccharides and participates in detoxic function of the liver and kidneys. The data from literature reviewed permit concluding that glucosamine and its derivatives are potentially useful and possess antiinflammatory, liver-defending, antihypoxic and other pharmacological activities.

RESUMO

The hepatotropic effect of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) such as indomethacin, voltaren, piroxicam, phenylbutazon, mefenamic acid was studied. It was found that according to their level of the pharmacological protection of the liver against tetrachlormethan these agents may be arranged in the following sequence: mefenamic acid, phenylbutazon, voltaren, piroxicam. The hepatoprotective effect of NSAID correlates with the antioxidant properties and fails to correlate with the antioxidant ones. The hepatotoxic effect of NSAID was determined by their ability to suppress synthesis of prostaglandins.

RESUMO

In experiments on rats it was shown that voltaren had a moderate degree and D-glucosamine a pronounced degree of antiproliferative and antialterative effects. On these models indomethacin and piroxicam also exerted a marked antiproliferative action and the ability to suppress tissue regeneration in alterative inflammation.
